[SKIN] I haven't worn a full face of makeup in about six months, but when I heard about @kosascosmetics ' Tinted Face Oil, I had to try it. After two weeks of use, here's what I thought: 1 month ago
-This is a true oil. The texture is very liquid-y, but that actually makes it easier to apply. You barely need to pat it into your skin for it to blend properly and it absorbs quickly.
-I was worried that it would be too oily to layer with other makeup, like powder blush or eyeshadow, and that’s not the case at all. It finishes way more matte than I was expecting–still not exactly matte, you get a nice glow, but you won’t feel oily at all. Kosas describes the finish as “velvety."
-I suggest going down a shade or two. I’m very pale and usually use the lightest shade available in any brand, but I’m Tone 003 with Kosas.
-This is really breathable. My skin still feels like skin when I wear it.
-The shade range might not be the most inclusive. There are 10 tones to choose from, but Kosas says that because of the self-adjusting mineral pigments they use, Tinted Face Oil is “optically blended making it wearable for over 30 different skin tones.” Since I had to go down a shade or two, I’m not sure how wearable the other shades will be for those with darker skin.
-Overall, I love this product. It covers my acne scars without looking cake-y and doesn’t dry out my skin (like most foundations do).
-If you normally wear foundation, this is a great swap-out for the new season. As fall approaches, the skin needs more moisture and a face-oil-slash-foundation will definitely help with that.
