An extraordinary story calls for an extraordinary building. The Swedish city Kiruna finds itself in an unusual situation: As ore was being removed from beneath the city’s foundations, the city center needed to be moved 3 km North. So, this is what they set out do to. We designed the first new building in the relocated center; the new Town Hall. A gathering point that fosters community and signals a new beginning. In November, it finally opens, and we are sending one of you. Much more info through the link in bio. Good luck!

Säynätsalo city hall by Alvar Aalto. Cozy and detailed. It's a building with a program that all small village should have. I think it has a bit of everything for a good architecture. - 2 months ago
