@21Savage : "Giving back to where I grew up means a lot to me. These kids need it, and I use to be one of those kids. Being able to see someone from where you from make it and come back and genuinely give back will motivate these kids to do the same for their kids and the community." Only starting his rap career in 2014, the 26 year old Savage has made huge strides since then, becoming one of the more recognized hip hop artists in the game. He saw rap as an outlet to reflect on his past, the pain he's felt from losing a few loved ones, and as a means to turn a negative situation into a positive one. His authenticity shined through - with multiple successful tapes and his most recent release, I Am > I Was, hitting upon its release on the Billboard charts. He's been a strong positive force in the game, vowing to not buy or wear anymore expensive jewelry and instead invest in buying homes, investing in youth start ups, & cryptocurrency. It's a good look to his young fans and he's providing for a more positive outlook on their future. That's a mogul move. Savage is currently fighting for his freedom as he was recently detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), officials of which said he was a citizen of the United Kingdom who had entered the U.S. in July 2005 and had overstayed his visa when it expired in July 2006. We all hope for the best.
