Alright, first day in #Rome
recap: I don't hate it haha sure it's unbearably hot and I got sunburnt and melted, but the neighborhoods and residential areas seem much more upscale than in #Naples
(photos of that later since my phone got stolen and I lost the photos I took). For our first day, we decided to walk to the #colosseum
, but it was too crowded to wait in line for a ticket. Workaround: in a few hundred meters, you can buy the ticket at the Palantino that gives you access to it, #fororomano
and the Colosseum. So we decided to do the first 2 first since they're in the same place. Leaving the Colosseum to the end of the afternoon was a good decision as it was much less crowded then, and the sun wasn't as scorching as hell... Just a few degrees less... You'll still find that most of my photos are in the shaded alleys. You hear a lot of the Gladiators history of fighting wild animals and each other in this arena, but you never hear about them fighting this heat lol if I had to fight a lion in this heat, I'd just die! Mostly because the lion would eat me before I even get a chance to complain about the sun. But I feel like a quick death is better than a slow burn haha alright I digress! Question is:
Would you rather
A- put yourself at great discomfort to stick to your plans/goals
B- stay in your comfort zone and adjust your plans/goals accordingly?
