I had a really great couple of weeks in Japan after 3 years since my last visit.
一・Vegan restaurants aren't common in Japan but I was able to order a huge bowl of soba here in Osaka.
二・I ate a lot of tofu and soba; dumplings and traditional. It's often necessary to request off menu or modified foods, but places are usually accommodating.
三・Seeing Mt Fuji from the bullet train is cool 🗻
四・I visited my relatives and we made an awesome mostly vegan dinner. My grand-uncle has a really cool house and is still working in his office at age 78 with no computer or smartphone.
五・I traveled with my best friend's band, @diebyforty
, and filmed 4 shows. He's working really hard at it👏🏼 If you like rock, please check them out!
六・Most of my friends live in Tokyo and it was so good to see them. I miss Japan a lot but I don't think I could ever live there again. I enjoy my garden, dogs and pigs too much. I'm really a country bumpkin 🤪
七・There's an interesting blend of old culture in modern cities. But it's sad, the old ways are mostly for show–like the rest of the world, Japanese pray to new gods now.
