How my kitchen looks after Saturday’s Organic Farmer’s Market💚 I’ve noticed most of the products there really taste better than the ones from the regular stores. Probably because it’s grown on a smaller scale, and that it comes from from a real, nutrient rich ground🥦. I saw a graph📉 which depicted a decline in the nutritional value of our vegetables from the 80’s till now with like 70%😱 Buying from these local farmers supports them🚜, you use less plastic AND the food contains more nutrients💕. Perfect!✨

I love rainbows, especially being one😂🌈 I want to take this moment to talk about how much a whole food vegan lifestyle has brought me. Most of the time, my skin looks like this #nofilter #nomakeup . You are beautiful no matter what your skin looks like, but I’m so grateful for the healing and beautifying effects plants have on our body. So many people get rid of their acne, fatigue, and even depression by changing their lifestyle, by changing their diet. The solution is not a pill, but LIFESTYLE: What we put in and on our bodies, the thoughts we have, the music we listen to, exercise, breathing properly, etc. All these little things make up our wellbeing, our quality of life. I eat and live the way I do because it makes me feel powerful, strong, and at my best! This gives me time to work on the things I love. I used to be exhausted and anxious all the time, eating foods that did not support my health, not choosing for myself, thinking negative thoughts... Choosing for myself was the best thing I’ve ever done, and still a work in process every day. Take care of yourself, be kind to yourself and see how much your life will change❤️

Spotted at @albertheijn supermarket Gelderlandplein: A new special vegan🌱 section. I especially went to this supermarket to see the products, but I was a bit disappointed.. I’d imagined a lot of new vegan products, but many products they already had were just put toghether, and not even all of them. It’s a nice concept though, and probably nice for new vegans, and to introduce people to veganism, but I won’t be going here for pre-cut vegetables, soup, 1 vegan cheese brand and the best one: vegan butter with a steak on the packaging😂 Maybe I’ll come back when there’s more to choose from, and when all shelves are filled, but it’s a start🤔 What I want to try though are the carrot sausages from @knakwortel 😍. What are your thoughts?

I can’t believe it has already been a year since I’ve finished high school. Time really flies. I love making granola myself. A few months ago when it was colder, I felt like making it every week✨ It’s delicious on its own as a snack or to upgrade your smoothie bowl(combi of sweet and savory is so yum). There are a lot of ways to make granola, but the one I liked the most is made with: Oats, sunflower seeds🌼, pumpkin seeds, almonds, goji berries(I still had some left that I didn’t use for anything else)/or raisins🍇, cinnamon, and coconut flakes🥥. Put in the oven on 160ºC for 20-25 minutes(watch them carefully or until golden brown). Make sure to add the berries/flakes AFTER everything has been in the oven. You can also use any other type of nut, seeds, grains(f.e. buckwheat) or sweetner(maple syrup burned quickly, so when I used it I diluted it with water). What ingredients do you use for your granola?

Really busy day! So much going on yet squeezed in some joggling and unicycling. . 5 miles of joggling, including some hill repeats. I haven't done this in a while because I wanted to get used to the heat before doing a hill workout. I felt a little worn out just as I was reaching the top during the repeats, but that's the point. . Did some unicycle practice in the early evening. I think I'm getting a little better with the backwards juggling, particularly with the tricky forward to backwards transitions. . For dinner to refuel and recover I made panang curry with tofu and mixed vegetables and brown rice. Another breakthrough 2 days ago: Backwards figure 8s while juggling. Obviously, took a lot of practice. This is another combined skill that was born out of learning to juggle while idling. I admit I can't juggle backwards in figure 8s flawlessly — I will need to practice a lot more to become proficient. . The most important thing when it comes to combined skills like this is upper and lower body independence. Your unicycling shouldn't interfere with your juggling, and vice versa. You should only use your legs and abs for balancing on the unicycle, not your arms(the juggling and unicycling don't need to be in sync though it may help at first if their rhythm is similar). It takes a lot of practice to achieve this independence, but once you do it's easier to learn advanced skills. . There was a time when I thought this would have been impossible. A nice 2.5(I think) mile ride around town last night that was unrecorded. I think it's a good idea to not always record things, to avoid reducing your fitness routine to nothing but a bunch of numbers. . Don't get me wrong, fitness trackers and the numbers they provide can be very helpful for monitoring progress. . However, the two biggest problems obsessing over numbers may lead to are: . 1) Pointless comparisons with other people. This is especially detrimental if you're comparing yourself with pro or more experienced athletes. At its worst, this can lead to injury, emotional problems, or burnout. Everyone is on their own journey, everyone has their own unique biology, so comparisons are usually pointless. . 2) Focusing too much on numbers can take away from the enjoyment of an activity. In other words, the objective aspects of fitness, however useful they are, can distract from the subjective aspect(such as finding something enjoyable), which should be just as important. . Again, I'm not saying you should not track things or have goals, just that sometimes you may be better off ignoring them. . Do you sometimes become obsessed with numbers? I’m back with burger 🍔!Nasi lemak for me and mammoth for my friend.Nasi lemak is sooo tasty.The raw veggies especially cucumber which is standard ingredient of nasi lemak make it refreshing and not heavy.It doesn’t taste like real nasi lemak of course because there’s no tangy flavour from fish or shrimp ingredients. I can't get enough of these hummus-wrap salads for lunch! Tasty, tangy and full of all the vitamins, minerals and everything else I need after 14 miles of unicycling. So easy to make too. . I just realized I did my fastest ride ever on the Bronx river parkway today: I averaged 8.4 mph, thanks to the shorter 114 mm cranks; previous record was 8.1 mph on 125 mm cranks. And for the most part I wasn't trying very hard except for a few brief speed intervals of about a mile in the 2nd half of the ride. . It looks like the short cranks only make a difference on long rides. On shorter rides they make virtually no difference, especially if there are lots of turns and bumps. I love travelling so so much. I’m very grateful I got to travel to many places already. The feeling of exploring new places, new cultures, new food, is indescribable. Every trip is priceless. This May I was able to visit Seoul for a few days. Seoul, and Korea in general had sparked my interest for quite a while now. I really liked Seoul, and hopefully I’ll be able to return some day. Sunday fun day creation:five spices braised beans. Completed 12 mile run, a big loop through many different neighborhoods and through the woods. . I haven't been doing much running lately but all the unicycling I've been doing is keeping me fit. It's very easy to transition from lots of unicycling to running. Fighting IBS for the past week. I haven’t been officially diagnosed with IBS but I know it is.I have been suffer for years yet haven’t paid much attention.Last week was suffering. ** Major Breakthrough Yesterday ** . Yesterday I juggled while unicycling in place(idling) for 12 minutes without screwing up, a new record. Previous record was 5 minutes. I eventually fell off after 12 minutes due to exhaustion, but I didn't hurt myself. . I didn't film myself breaking the record but this video was shot a few days before in Valhalla. . If you've been following me for a while you may remember when I had trouble with this. I did a video where I struggled with this skill on August 24 last year.
