Not the most insta-ready pic (!) but what what a torturous past couple of weeks we've had. A few days before we had the floors laid, we had a friend recommended we test the boiler pressure for leaks.
So we called the plumber round and he set it up to test. He had tested it when he originally fitted the boiler, but we'd had more workmen round and a couple new radiators fitted. Then it started dropping, we were there twice a day tracking its progress (my camera roll is full of boiler dials haha). All the while the floor fitter is fitting laminate in all but 1 room in the house...
Then the plumber would come and top it up in the week... still dropping. He even tightened a couple of leaky radiator valves we'd found, (one being in the living room, pictured) still down. At this point our carpenter started fitting door frames and doors, and needed to get onto architrave and skirting...
Eventually on Sunday he came and fitted a couple of radiators back on that we'd taken off for decorating - and ran through some leak sealer, setting the pressure to 1.5. .
And voila! Seems to have fixed it!!!! It's not dropped at all in 24 hours. At least we know now it's very unlikely we have a leak under the floors, probably was to do with the valves - or maybe there was a pinhole leak somewhere. Our carpenter is starting skirting this week, wish us luck the boiler pressure stays put!!
