Leg day was yesterday’s workout but my legs still ache but I will not complain because so far I have stayed at 155lbs since I stuck with drinking Shakeology everyday. So thats 5lbs 😎 Now I don’t have to worry about missing the gym because all my workouts are right at my fingertips as well as meal plans! ✨CABBAGE SPRING ROLLS✨ When you’re not a fan of rice paper, use cabbage! It’s a great way to get in extra greens. But make sure you don’t cut your cabbage head first, or you’ll end up with mini rolls like I did. 🙈😂 I stuffed mine with ranch tahini, falafel, peppers, and cucumbers—basically all the goodness of a pita 🥙 without all the carbs!
This may not seem like a lot (ugh yea Jenny it’s a picture of your leg 🤔) but it is for me...it’s lifted about 6 inches off the ground and I’m just holding it there...about 5 years ago this was impossible...I broke this knee and was in a brace for 6 weeks...my quadricep muscle basically disappeared 👻...
When I was cleared to take off the brace my ortho doctor asked me to lift my leg. Simple right? Sitting there on the table with my leg down, I struggled to do it and couldn’t...😵🤦🏼♀️on top of that I had therapy to get my muscle back and to bend and move the knee which was absolute torture...but I did it!
Now I’m able to do simple moves like this with no problem because of hard work.

I remember in 2016 someone told me that they thought I would 'ALWAYS BE THAT WAY' aka Always be overweight. I know no harm was meant, but that was a smack in the face! In a good way! Like get your shit together way! And I did. I joined WW and lost 30lbs in a year! Woot woot! But, it doesn't get easier! You have to keep on eating right! 🤯🤯🤯 I gained 10 lbs back And, I knew I needed something new, a new workout routine! And that's what I have now! It's been being great! I've lost 4lbs, gained confidence, learned about Personal Development and have a huge support network (including WW) and on top of that! I get to help other women that are going thru the same thing I've gone thru, the same thing I'm working towards! More than just physically, but mentally! .
We cant change our body if our mind is not on board! I can go on and on... I feel like I have, lol! I'm just in love with this process and lifestyle! Because at the end of the rainbow, is my, our, pot of gold! 💖💖 Promise! 💖💖

My Grandma’s retirement community holiday dinner was tonight. See this plate? All I ate was the smoked ham and turkey. (Plus I brought my own side of leftover broccoli and pregamed with two cans of Truly because of who I am as a person 💁♀️). Judging by the way I am feeling a couple hours later, I’m guessing there was quite a bit of sugar in the smoked ham, but I am still calling it a #NSV
to leave all the carbs on my plate AND turn down dessert.

So no long, sweaty, high impact workout 😅 Today I really focused on nutrition and delicious food 🥘Dinner tonight was delicious! 😋 Baked salmon, sautéed green beans, pepper salad (amazing and so easy!), and sweet potato chips in my new air fryer. Healthy eating does NOT mean boring eating!

I started having panic attacks at age 7. I thought I was dying all the time and didn’t know what was wrong with me. The worst part is that all of my suffering was invisible and I was visibly fine and healthy. With some intense medical help and lots of sorting through things I’ve learned to live with my anxiety and OCD symptoms and operate pretty normally on a day to day basis. •
Some days, though - I wanna curl up like a snug little bug in a rug and drink some tea and call it a day. Today was one of those days 🙃 BUT! I pushed through it. I pressed play. I got a 25 minute sweat sesh in. And guess what? I’m glad I did 💕
It's been way to long since I have taken the time to food prep.
The "I know what I'm doing attitude" well turned into I'm to lazy to cook this so I'm just going to grab these chips.
It's back to the container system for me. The simplicity and the structure of them work for me.
I'm late in the week, but it's never to late.
Oh and hey everything is prepped and I ate completely on track today .. who would of thought 🤦
Only thing missing are dinners, which I usually cook anyways!

You failed your exam? Learn from it. You embarrassed yourself in front of a group of people? Laugh about it. You had a rough couple days and feel like nothing is going your way? Grow from it. There’s times in your life where you’re going to feel like you’re not getting what you deserve, but these bad days are what make the good times that much better. When I am having a rough day its easy for me to get trapped in a funk. Like if my morning starts negatively I immediately categorize my day as bad. As the end of the year rolls around I want to ditch this mindset. I’m focusing on pausing when I feel myself drifting into this negative state, taking a few deep breaths, and then resetting my mood and finding the good in every situation. It’s not going to be easy but we only have one life so might as well be happy right?✨

I gave up 3 times before I even began today.
I eventually chose to let my laziness, self-doubt, depression, unexplained anger, and exhaustion fuel my workout, rather than cancel my workout.
Also, this was my first time trying Pilates, and I very much enjoyed it!
