I wrote a blog post for @mommanmanila.
A controversial topic. 💜 Link in bio.
Please read and share. 💙💛 Every year, during Down Syndrome Consciousness Month, I ask friends, therapists, and educators to share a little bit about Down Syndrome, the things they have learned, and how an extra chromosome has affected their lives. I do this because I know that somehow, we are all connected by our stories, and that having the ability to relate to someone else who may be going through something you are, somehow makes our own journey a little lighter.
For this post, I have asked Krista Rowland-Collins to share about something near and dear to both of our hearts. I have heard horror birth stories. I have experienced things I choose not to write about yet, because I cannot write about them in a positive way, (as of today) but in this guest M.O.M. (Momma on a Mission) post, Krista shares an upsetting incident that she had the opportunity to turn around.
Thank you Krista for the work that you do. You make the world a better place. I have high hopes that one day, Adele and Gelli will meet, and their mommas will too.
