Little miss Ellie is growing fast! She has been potty trained for quite a while, sleeping from 1130pm straight till almost 9am every day, then wakes up, goes downstairs, and waits at the door to be let out - recently she woke up at 530a, peed the bed, and my night shirt. We chalked it up as a fluke because she typically gets an hour of playtime before bed, and because we were out for a while, she did not get that. However, later in the day she ran across the hall and peed on our spare bed. Right infront of me, this told me she was mad/angry at me for leaving her the night before.
Fast forward 2 nights and no accidents again she's back to my sweet little girl who doesn't pee on our bed. I'm posting this story because I see people tend to think that dogs won't punish you - that they aren't smart enough to get mad and get back at you. I'm telling you that they are very smart and when they're mad, they will figure out a way to let you know! We've learned the hard way that Ellie needs to have her same routine every night, no matter what! She's a good girl. She is not a bad dog because she did something we don't like. We told her NO of course when she did something wrong, but then we quickly went back to her normal schedule, gave her treats when she asked to go out and go potty, and learned that she's just a puppy that needs her normal routine. #goldendoodle #puppy #4months #elliegirl
