It took me a minute to wrap my head around this weekend. I spent the last few days volunteering my time to people and organizations I care about. Giving my time to help others. Then yesterday we hosted the first All For Her: Educate, Motivate, Inspire in Washington County. The goal was to inspire, educate and motivate people and that it did. But I can’t put into words what an impact it made on me. Talking about the pressures of being a woman. How we can make changes to create a better place for the younger generations. Empower each other, to be real, you don’t have to be perfect, to give to others.
We had the pleasure of listening to keynote speaker Darieth Chisolm talk on her very personal story #50shadesofsilence
and listen to how she was able to turn a very horrific situation into a way to help others.
We were able to support important organizations like Dress for Success Pittsburgh and several others.
Life isn’t about taking, it’s about giving back. It’s about taking time to help someone else.
We couldn’t have done this without the support of our amazing sponsors including our naming right sponsor, the Washington Health System. Stephanie-Nick Wagoner and her team are in a word, the best. There for every step of the way, making an impact on our community.
A huge thanks to my girl Laural Gibbs Ziemba for her continued passion to make our community a better one. We couldn’t have done the Finding Her panel without you! I love you both and Steph with all my heart!
And to Camille Kobrys and the incredible staff at the DoubleTree Pittsburgh Meadow Lands for making sure everything was perfect, I can't say enough. My sincerest thanks!
To my girl, Francesca Underwood, Katie Mavrich Green and our O-R team, thank you is not enough for the countless hours you put to make the magazine perfect and the event what it was.
I could go on and on but to the sponsors, artisans, businesses, my family and our awesome community, THANK YOU! We made a difference this weekend and it is JUST the start.
Here are just a few pics of this special day. From the bottom of my heart, all my love and thanks. #WEmadeadifference
