veggies are boring? disgusting? bland? i will never understand people who don't like veggies buuuuuuut, i am willing to help 😋
it's all in the way you prepare them! think about your favourite flavours and textures that you enjoy eating with the rest of your food and use that to get creative with your veggies 🔥 there are so many herbs and spices (dried, fresh, whole, ground) oils, dips, rubs, mixes and condiments that you can add 🙌 have a browse in the supermarkets and wholefood stores.
as for cooking, make use of everything in your kitchen! all your kitchen tools and appliances. my favourite way to cook veggies is in the oven or a frying pan for that charred taste and texture 🤤 a simple google search of "different ways to prep and cook (insert food)..." and no doubt you'll get loads of inspiration.
looking for some ideas for those stinky brussel sprouts at Christmas? have at go at this!
500g brussel sprouts
1 tbsp @kentishoils
garlic infused oil
1 tsp @justingredients
herbs de provence
1/4 tsp @profusionorganic
steam brussel sprouts for 15-20 minutes. heat oven to gas mark 8 / 450 F / 230 C. in a large bowl mix your oil, herbs, salt and pepper then add your brussel sprouts and give it a mix until they're all evenly coated. transfer to a baking tray and roast (giving them a mix halfway through) for 30-45 mins, depending on how much you like them roasted!
simple as that 👌 and so much more satisfying and delicious to eat than plain ol' boiled on the hob! what are your favourite things to make veggies more exciting?
