💜 Blueberry & Raspberry Waffles
This mama feels like she’s been run over by a bus, got back up & been run over again 😩 I have a horrible chest infection & last night Joe wouldn’t go to sleep until 10pm & woke up at 5.30am, I feel like after Christmas his naps & bedtimes have been all over the place even though we’re not doing anything different!
Back to the breakfast - me & Joe both had waffles this morning, the recipe makes 2 batches so I always cook Joe’s without sugar & add a tablespoon of sugar to the 2nd batch for the adults!
Joe ate everything & also had some extra banana!
I will pop the recipe in my highlights a little later.

A big bowl of fresh fruit (strawberries🍓, blackberries, blueberries, grapes🍇, raspberries and melon🍈), accompanied with 2 pieces of toast🍞 topped with a lil bit of butter and a glass of hot soya milk.🥛♨️
I woke up feeling great this morning😄 however i became very dizzy, weak and nautious🤢. So my mum decided it was best if i took the day off, i am going to do homework to compensate though!📚

Las frutas y verduras son una fuente vital de vitaminas y minerales, y deben constituir un poco más de un tercio de los alimentos que comemos cada día.
Se recomienda que comamos al menos 5 porciones de una variedad de frutas y verduras todos los días.
Está demostrado que las personas que comen al menos 5 porciones al día tienen un menor riesgo de enfermedad cardíaca, accidente cerebrovascular y algunos tipos de cáncer.
Comer 5 porciones no es tan difícil como parece. Solo 1 manzana, plátano, pera o fruta de tamaño similar es 1 porción (80 g).
Una rodaja de piña o melón es 1 porción. Tres cucharadas colmadas de vegetales son otra porción.
Tomar una rodaja de plátano con su cereal de la mañana es una forma rápida de obtener 1 porción. Cambia tu galleta de media mañana por una mandarina y agrega una ensalada a tu almuerzo.
Coma una porción de verduras con la cena, y coma fruta fresca con yogur natural en la noche para llegar a su 5 al día.

Fruit and vegetables are a vital source of vitamins and minerals, and should make up just over a third of the food we eat each day.
It's advised that we eat at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day.
There's evidence that people who eat at least 5 portions a day have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke and some cancers.
Eating 5 portions is not as hard as it sounds. Just 1 apple, banana, pear or similar-sized fruit is 1 portion (80g).
A slice of pineapple or melon is 1 portion. Three heaped tablespoons of vegetables is another portion.
Having a sliced banana with your morning cereal is a quick way to get 1 portion. Swap your mid-morning biscuit for a tangerine, and add a side salad to your lunch.
Have a portion of vegetables with dinner, and snack on fresh fruit with natural plain yoghurt in the evening to reach your 5 A Day. .

Last night I was on a banana bread making mission. I had a load of bananas that needed using up and it’s a good job that I had loads, because I ended up making two batches!! My first loaf was a total flop!! I tried to make a “healthy” version and I found a recipe online which used maple syrup and honey instead of caster sugar. After an hour in the oven it came out in total mush!! 🙈😳🤦🏻♀️
So I just went back to basics and thought it really doesn’t matter if Nina has a teeny bit of sugar. I modified a @bbcgoodfood
recipe to have less caster sugar and added some ground flax seed too. This version was much better, delicious in fact!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Recipe: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Into a mixer bowl add: 140g baking spread, 110g caster sugar (this works out at 11g of caster sugar per generous slice) 2 mashed bananas, 140g self raising flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 10g ground flax seeds, 3 medium eggs and 2 cap fulls of vanilla extract. Mix all together using the beater paddle in your mixer, or some good old elbow grease. Transfer to a lined 2lb loaf tin, decorate with a sliced banana (optional) and bake at 170 degrees for 30-40 minutes till a skewer comes out clean. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
