Just got home from a week long digging trip through the great plains. Picked up a ton of great stuff and got to spend many hours in a couple of great stores. I started with a day and a half at @kanesvillerecord
in Council Bluffs Iowa. Found tons of great stuff and didn't even put a dent into their 45 stock, seriously, If you want to dig for a while go to Council Bluffs. Next I hit @waxtraxdenver
, a store I hit every time I'm in the area. They have boxes and boxes of very reasonably priced 45s. I ended with digging at @lovegardensounds
, a place I would call my home as far as record stores go, as I worked there for years. There I found a couple more boxes of great country including one full box of country Square dance tunes! While back in Kansas I also met up with a fella who had been saving me records for over a year, so that added over 1000 to my total amount. All in all I came home with about 2k records, eight days worth of stubble, and not nearly enough sleep. I think I ended up driving and digging for around 70 hours.
That being said, I'll have a crap ton of great stuff for the next year's worth of shows, but there won't be a show out this week because I'm just tired and need a couple days to sort and recuperate. See yall next week!
