Accountability- day 91 Vulnerability. I hate posting pics of myself. I’m so embarrassed about how heavy I let myself get and I don’t like seeing it. Today I decided to be kinder to myself (let’s see how long it lasts). I hit my 17.5 pound year end goal and have lost 19! I have a long way to go and I try not to think about the ultimate goal, breaking it down into smaller goals seems to work for me. On the 4th day of FITmas, we meal prepped! 😋👩🏻🍳
For those of you unfamiliar with this term, “meal-prepping” refers to the act of preparing your meals ahead of time, otherwise known as cooking in bulk. Meal-prepping is one of the best ways to set yourself up for a successful week, to keep yourself on track, and to take the thinking out of food tracking. Instead of worrying about what you’re going to eat for dinner, what you’re going to pack for lunch, or if you’re one of those people trying to precisely track your macros, prepping your food ahead of time takes the guess work out of the process! -
Pictured here is sautéed cauliflower, 3lbs ground turkey, and roasted tricolor potatoes. Not pictured: roasted asparagus, Brussels, and mushrooms. It took me an hour total to prep, cook, and clean up this prep- and I’ll be set for 3-4 days of healthy meals for the week! 🙌🏼💪🏼

Someone finally asked... I knew someone would (and many more would quietly wonder and privately congratulate me). For those who recognize this setting and the timeframe, the answer is yes... I could've almost 2 years ago. IF I had stayed quiet, IF I had pretended not to know, IF I would have kept my mouth shut, IF I would have just let it go. IF I would've been okay with remaining where I felt no honor, no accountability, no truth. IF I had cared more about the belt, or IF I had subscribed to the bs definition of "loyalty" some had.
I'm happy for my new path and direction, and I'm grateful for how all of my life experiences. I'm poised and ready for what's to come. The winds are changing and it's time for the right people to clean up all the crap swept under the rug. As for me, I'll be continuing along with my journey, happy and free, cheering for the good guys!

And workout is done! 😃 I really want more weights in my workouts because my classes at the moment are mostly cardio. I definitely wanted to do something quick that targeted my full body so I did a 25 minute strength from Shift Shop on Beachbody On Demand. 😎 The heaviest weight I have at home is 10 lbs but adding my @orunbrand
bands and thigh band gave me that extra resistance and helped with my form! Resistance bands are no joke peeps! 😳 15 exercises, 1 minute each, minimal rest. I’m always extra cautious with my knees so I move slower but keep everything engaged. My body really felt yesterday’s pushups today so I did some positives and modified on my knees. Skidoosh! Done! 💪🏽

What I love about the Denver fitness community is the support everyone has for each other. When it comes to working out, I’m the type of person who’s just headphones in and in the zone in my own little world. But I’ve been trying to switch it up and get out there and meet new people. This year I’ve tried a lot of new classes, but I’m going to start a better routine and make it a habit of going to more group classes once a week, instead of just the solo grind and doing a group class every so often.
I signed up for @classpass
and it pretty much has any class you can ask for. If you’re in the Denver area and looking to meet some of your fellow neighbors; I would love to introduce you to some amazing people that I’ve met this year. I always love meeting new people, and it’s always great to hold each other accountable. Look into ClassPass and I would love to get a workout with anyone who wants to better themselves this coming year.
