“People praise you for what
they suppose is in you;
but you must blame your soul
for what you know is in it."
Ibn ʿAṭā‘illāh al-Iskandarī
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
من مات على حب آل محمد ، مات شهيداً
He who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ is a Martyr.
And behold! He who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ is forgiven.🌹
And more! The one who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ dies as one who repented.🌹
Lo! He who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ will die as a believer with a COMPLETE belief.🌹
And no doubt! The one who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ, the angle of death gives him the glad tiding of Paradise, and so do the two angels who question him (Munkar & Nakeer).🌹
And verily he who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ, will be led toward the Paradise as the bride is led to the house of her husband.
Behold! And he who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ, for him there will open two gates in his grave toward the Paradise.
Lo! And the one who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ, Allah will make his grave a sacred place of visit for the angels of mercy.🌹
And verily he who dies with love of the family of Muhammad ﷺ, has died on Sunnah.🌹
And no doubt! The one who dies with the HATE of the family of Muhammad ﷺ, will arrive on the day of judgment while it is printed on his forehead that he is desperate, separated from the Mercy of Allah.🌹
Behold! He who dies with the hate of the family of Muhammad ﷺ, has in reality died as one without faith.🌹
And verily he who dies with the hate of the family of Muhammad ﷺ, will never smell the breeze of Paradise.🌹

Surround yourself with those who surpass you in deen & character so you’ll always be in a state of self-rectification, progression & elevation.
“And keep yourself attached to those who call on their Lord, morning and evening, seeking His pleasure; and do not let your eyes turn away from them, desiring the attraction of worldly life; and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.” (18:28)
“Make the Quran your best friend. The more you sit with it, the more it honors you, gives you its secrets and elevates your status.” ✨
🌸“Wait for the work of your Rabb, for it will bring you what you desire in the form of relief near at hand,
and do not despair if nothing special has yet occurred, for there are so many wondrous marvels in The Unseen.”
The itch to travel is getting so real! So here’s a throwback to the beautiful Sheekh Mountains in the meantime 🌚
Spotted this beautiful reminder from the local church in my neighborhood. Prayer—whether it’s in the form of daily salah or through sincere duas— is how we come back to ourselves. It’s so easy to get caught up and lost in the noise of this world. Prayer reminds us of who we are, the purpose we live in & our most deepest desires/aspirations. When we are connected to Allah, we are connected to our most authentic self.
“In the heart are disorders that cannot be remedied except by responding to Allah. In it is a void that cannot be filled except by His love, turning to Him, always remembering Him, and being sincere to Him. Were a person to be given the entire world and everything in it, that would never fill the void.”
Sh. Noreen from Sudan ❤️ The sweetness of faith (halawatul iman)...the paradise of this world.
There’s beauty in realizing that not everyone is deserving of knowing you wholly or having access to every detail or part of you. We live in times where it seems like everything is on full display for the world. In the process, intimacy may be lost & is no longer reserved for a chosen few. I think we can be authentic, kind & honest without compromising our sense and value of privacy + dignity. #notetoself #ramadan2018 #postfajrVIEWS
Ramadan is bidding us farewell but leaves us behind with a nourished heart & a refocused mind inshaAllah.
May Allah grant us His beautiful acceptance! #ramadan2018
They say a mus’haf that is falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t
A mere traveler on this road called Life.
One of the pillars of mujāhada (struggling against your nafs) that our teacher taught us was the concept of less intermingling by way of Khalwah. Khalwah is to retreat in silent reflection to learn more about one's inner state. What am I inside? What are my motives? Are my deeds acceptable to Allah? An axiom that captures this concept is as follows:
من استوحش بالوحدة و استأنس بالناس لم يسلم من السمعة
“When one feels painfully lonely in solitude and finds company in the midst of people, such one will never be safe from the disease of sum’ah & Riyā (loving to be heard and seen doing good deeds).
“And on Earth there are signs [of God’s existence, visible] to all who are endowed with inner certainty,
just as [there are signs thereof] within your own selves: can you not, then, see?” —[Quran 51:20-21] #sunrise #tazkiyahretreat
