Hey hey!! I hope y’all don’t mind me being a little vulnerable with this post, I’m just keeping it real. ——————————————————————what happens when things don’t go as planned? hence, we’ve been talking about the importance of planning, right? But seriously, there are so many of us including myself, where we make this five year plan on what we want our lives to look like and what our steps in life will be. what happens when the thing you’ve been planning to do, doesn’t go through? Yesterday, I find out I was denied the graduate school I’ve always wanted to go to. I cried, yelled, screamed, kicked, even did that punching the air thing, I laughed insanely, I even questioned my success in school and as a writer. I told myself school is all I know but as I reflect today and I feel like this is relevant to business as well, sometimes no matter how much we plan there will always be unexpected obstacles but we have to learn to take the unknown and use it to our advantage because although we have our own plan it may not fall in line with the plan God has ordained for our lives. Even if your business was to take a hit and you didn’t plan for it, it’s okay because there’s a grand plan! These obstacles will hurt and it’s okay to hurt, grieve and process but then brush yourself off, get up and get back to the drawing table. Remember success is not measured by where you are in life or where society tells you should be at by a certain age but the obstacles you’ve overcome.
