9 generations ago a Spanish Soldier and Indigenous women traveled from Sonora and other areas of Mexico with the founding peoples of El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles del Río de Porciúncula under orders of the king of Spain. This couple, my ancestors, were granted land grants around the Los Angeles area; including the Griffith Park area and Fox Hills. Olvera Street was the first Pueblos of Los Angeles. My grandfather and great grandfather both worked in the fire-station there. My grandmother was a docent who offered tours to teach people of our history and culture. I grew up as a child exploring this magical place and going back filled me with such a strong frequency reminding me of my powerful lineage. #iamproud#losangeles#olverastreet#plazaolvera#angeleno#chicana#LA#ancestral#dtla#discoverla#aztecdancers#leopoliti#mipueblo#angelino

@amytheohiogirl dumping Grenache into the press. Amy is tough. She works her full time job for the County of Los Angeles, making sure people that need medical help can get it. When she is done with that she races over to the winery and does cellar work for hours then goes home and does winery office work until the wee hours of the morning and then wakes up and does it again. She never complains. She only gets shit done. She also plays in a band. Running a small business takes this kind of energy and work ethic. If there was no Amy, there would be no Angeleno Wine Co.
