My version of a simplified Apple crumble 🍎🍏 🍎🍏🍎 Well more of a deconstructed mix of ingredients combined to give the same effect 🤤 For me I love creating alternative versions of classic dishes and I rarely follow a recipe because I just come up with different ideas in how things could be made differently 👏🏻 I also think this is what people should be educated more on it shouldn’t be giving up the foods they enjoy but what simple swaps could you make to improve the quality of the food you do enjoy 🔑
For example, growing up my grandmothers used to always have Apple pie or Apple crumble at the ready on a Sunday and usually it was one out of the three desserts I was fed ( not joking @aoife.clancy
😉 - everyone got 1 or 2 but I, for some reason , was given 3)🤭 Now before this year I had never heard of stewed Apple or seen it but @mollycurtis99
🙌🏼introduced me to it and this is officially my first time trying it out!! Traditionally stewed Apple is made with some sweetener but I used cooking apples and wondered could they taste just as good without and I can confirm they do 😍
I always want to find ways I can switch up and bump up the nutritional value of foods and still make them taste good! (Sometimes though nothing can replace granny’s cooking) 🤫 As well I’m on a bit of a roasted nut obsession at the moment so any way to sneak them in!
So simply this recipe consisted of stewed Apple ( cooking Apple, lemon juice, water and cinnamon), oats and roasted nuts and a side of Greek yoghurt 🙌🏼 Specific details can be given just give me a DM 🍏🍎
