@adrianakfit_ - What’s your opinion on #waisttraining ? I can honestly say I can’t stay consistent, it’s a mater of comfort for me. I do think it helps reshape and a blocky waist if you remain consistent, however, it will not magically remove body fat off your abdomen 😅

So, I have decide to start reviewing products that I try on here. It's been something that I've wanted to do for a while since @r.tchie & I probably try more supplements that anyone in the world 😅 First up is @betancourtnutrition 's RTD version of Bullnox. I want to start by saying that the Bullnox powder is honestly one of my favorite pre workouts of all-time. That being said, I think this falls short a little. The taste was quite bad. However, to me taste isn't what is most important, performance is what matters most to me. This seemed to do its job for the most part. I don't think I would buy it again in the RTD form but I wouldn't let that discourage you from trying it! In the future I plan to be more extensive, but this first one I kind of wanted to use as an introduction 💪🏼👍🏼 Taste: 3/10 Performance: 7/10 Keep in mind, I have a high tolerance for stimulants due to continued use of pre workouts so I wouldn't use my reaction as your only point of comparison. As always, do your own research!!! ✌🏼❤️

Happy Humpday. Here’s a little banded work to target your 🍑 today. I’m using the hip circle resistance band by the brand #FitGirl It’s a much harder resistance than your typical Skllz band. You may be more familiar with the hip circle popularized by the brand Slingshot. I just preferred mine to be black and pink. My two favorite colors 🤗 .
☝🏾 Duckwalk to Squat. Typical duck walks will have you in the same stance going back and forth but I like to take tension slightly off until both feet are back on the ground. I feel more of a burn when I do it that way and it puts more tension on the glutes and less on the quads. .
✌🏾Cable rope pulls. I’m not sure the actual term for this. It’s like a cross between a good morning and a deadlift using the cable machine! Make sure you’re pushing out and unhinging your hips so the tension is on your glutes. Pull back up driving through your heels. You should not be pulling with your upper body at all. Make sure to squeeze your glutes on the way up! .

One thing that is ESSENTIAL in booty growth....carbs!! To some of y'all even hearing the word makes you a little scared. But ladies, trust me when I say if you cut out carbs completely or don't get enough you'll be looking pancakey in the back and that's a no go🙅🏻Carbs are such an important nutrient to have in your system when you're weight training. But don't think that carbs are just found in the mouth-watering versions (pasta, bread, rice and potatoes) AKA the starchy stuff. Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely room for a small portion of these in your diet but don't be going buck wild. A greater percentage of your meal plate should be from a rather surprising source (fruits & veggies, especially the green ones🥒🥗) Yes, you heard me right. Fruits and veggies are carbs. If you're like I was you're probably surprised to learn this but if not, 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 u smart u smart! Carbs are an amazing source of energy for your body, which you need in order to have a kick ass training sesh so keep that in mind. Carbs = fuel⛽️

I always get asked how I go about toning my upper body. There are so many variations to training so I’m definitely not reinventing the wheel here, but here’s a lil upper body circuit to tone and define w/ a lil fat burn :) Focusing on shredding/toning the back (which also helps the waist appear smaller) and squeezed in some shoulder. yasssss. * Disclaimer: I am not a Personal Trainer, nor do I claim to have the perfect form. This workout is just what I do 😜 * •
Perform 10 reps of each exercise, controlled movements. Video was sped up for editing so no need to be a speedy Gonzalez at the gym lol. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
• Lat Pull Down • Bent over lateral pull down
• Reverse close grip lat pull down

Finished off with 20 Mins of HIIT Cardio on treadmill:
5 mins moderate (jog) - 5.0 speed
10 mins HIIT-
1:30 secs 5.5 speed, 30 secs (sprint) 9.0 speed continuously until time hits 15 mins
5 mins- 5.0 speed * adjust speed to your personal preference*
PLEASE READ: ✨ Yesterday was a much needed REST DAY for this girl. 😌 I’ll be the first to tell you I still get a bit of anxiety on days I’m not moving in the gym but it’s a scientific FACT that recovery days are an essential part of training and who am I to argue with science? Lol 🤓 DO NOT, I repeat do not underestimate the power of a rest day.
Overtraining is real and the effects can be dangerous. This “no days off” mentality that some trainers promote is bullsh*t, sorry. 🤭 Overtraining can lead to a weakened immune system, injury, exhaustion, mood issues, trouble sleeping, and can even cause weight loss plateaus and a total lack of gym motivation - ain’t nobody got time for any of dat! 🙅🏽♀️
Taking one or two days off a week doesn’t mean you’re slacking. As long as you can discern the difference between needed rest and laziness - you’re good. Taking a recovery day means you’re giving your body time to do just that — fully RECOVER. Resistance training by definition breaks down muscles tissue causing microscopic tears and in the immediate short term actually makes you weaker. You NEED those rest days to allow the muscle you have broken down to heal and recover and come back stronger. Ready for a mind f*ck?... It is actually the REST that makes you STRONGER. 😲 Adequate rest is 100% essential to obtaining maximum performance and results from your training. 💯
To maintain my high intensity strength training schedule I personally like to take one complete rest day and one active recovery day a week and always drink my @rspnutrition ReGen BCAAs to maximize my results. Active recovery like hot yoga or steady state cardio is my fave. 👌🏽 I’d love to go more into the science behind rest days and how to maximize the benefits of rest days but this caption is quickly approaching novel status. 🤦🏽♀️
