So finally got around to posting these. I’ll be quite honest I was a little disappointed but shouldn’t have expected too much after only two weeks. In some photos it looks like I’ve put on weight 😂 Putting this down to bad lighting and changes so small you can’t see because my jeans felt 💯 more comfortable the other night. Hoping the next fortnight will prove to be more exciting. Not sure if it’s just me but maybe the sliiiightest change in my quads 🤔 Off to the gym to start Week 3 today 👊

Getting this selfie took me nearly 5 mins cause the changing room was so busy 😂 but yesterday was a pretty productive day! Read 3 studies, wrote a blog post, went to the gym and got my boyf his Christmas present 🙌
Today won’t be as productive as I’m working but still gonna get in a session today 💪🏻 hitting the gym again on Friday and gonna do some deadlifting but I may be slightly hungover so we shall see how it goes 😂😂🙈🙈🙈 anyway, ya girl has to get some disso reading out the way while she eats her lunch so bye 💕💕

Let's talk ageing: Over the past decade, studies in model organisms and humans indicate that epigenetic (the study of how environmental factors and lifestyle choices influence our genes) have a huge influence on the ageing process. Several important conclusions emerge from these studies: Rather than being genetically predetermined, our life span is largely epigenetically determined; diet and other environmental influences can influence our life span by changing the epigenetic information; and inhibitors of epigenetic enzymes can influence life span of model organisms.
These new findings provide better understanding of the mechanisms involved in aging. Given the reversible nature of epigenetic information, these studies highlight extremely exciting avenues in the scientific literature for therapeutic intervention in aging and age-associated diseases, including cancer.
By definition, epigenetics represents the reversible heritable mechanisms that occur without any alteration of the underlying DNA sequence. Although the chromosomes in our genome carry the genetic information, the epigenome is responsible for the functional use and stability of that valuable information; that is, it connects the genotype (your genetic codes within your cells) with the phenotype (the expressed trait eg: your hair colour + environmental influences.).

I’ve always tried to stay pretty grounded when it comes to the comparison mindfuck and getting wrapped up in what others are doing. I created this account to keep myself accountable during my journey. If I had 1 follower or 200 followers it wouldn’t mean any difference to me.
I take transformation photos for myself and myself only. If I can motivate someone else along the way then it’s a bonus.
Lately I’ve been feeling pressured to end the year with a bang. I wanted to post the best transformation evaaa on January 1 and do a one year complete transformation. But the truth is I don’t feel or look my greatest. I’ve been building up this amazing transformation photo in my mind and I think I’m going to fall short. Then I feel defeated. I looked my best in June, not now. I feel like I’m not gonna give the people what they want. They want to see a damn good photo. I’ve felt like this for a few days and I finally realized this morning, “why am I doing this to myself?”
I’m glad I checked myself before I got too caught up. I did look my best in June but I look damn good now too. Idk why I felt pressured to “give” such a good transformation photo.
