I go through strange phases. There have been months, years even, where the vision for me is CRYSTAL clear. I am locked and loaded, and executing daily to complete my next goal.
There are also times where the vision is very unclear, I become complacent, and lose my natural drive. I might be putting myself in unhealthy situations, or consuming a bad mental and nutritional diet. The goals I had set for myself might no longer be something I’m infatuated with, so then working towards them is more of a tedious job than a passionate grind. When this happens, I lose my “why”. And when you lose your “why”, what you are doing loses its core meaning. And when your goals no longer have meaning, you start to think “what’s the point? I’ll just hit the bar instead of working that extra few hours... its not that big of a deal”. Then the cumulative effect of that over time makes you start to feel like shit and you wonder where you went wrong.
I say this a lot, and have a whole arm dedicated to this idea now... but Reflection, Visualization, and Mindfulness are the key. After a week, reflect on what you did and what your goals are. Make sure those goals are still in line with your heart (and if not, adjust them ASAP to what is)... then visualize your next week and have it lined up with those goals. Lastly (and most importantly), be mindful on a daily basis and execute in the present moment.
That is what our brand represents... Whatever you are building towards, #BecomeBILT #BILTATLX
