I spent a cold day in the frozen forest at the base of Mt Fuji and then found this tempura shop to warm up in. Hands down the best tempura I’ve ever had. Made fresh. Crispy as all get out. The server brought my plate out and then said something I could not understand. Through reciprocal charades, I realized that he was telling me the thing I ordered was supposed to have five items and they only have me four. Please wait five minutes. He brought out the last piece and the chef came in from the back and said “Sorry!” Truly love this society.🏮

Everyone loves a good sale, am-I-right? But people like me buy random shit when they’re on sale. This acorn squash was 99c per pound and I bought it knowing nothing of how to cook it. So I asked y’all. Today I followed @shaniamayyy
suggestion to use it as a bowl for oatmeal. Let me tell you this was Freakkkking amazing 🤤. I baked it for 35 minutes at 425F. Then let it cool, in the mean time I made my nog oatmeal with the @lovemysilk
nog. Since the nog made the oatmeal a little too sweet I added a pinch of salt to balance it out 😁😁. Then I topped it with @peanutbutterco

Well, I suppose I'm getting into the autumnal spirit with this last homemade dessert. A pumpkin tart spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and whiskey (🤫).. decorated with homegrown peache jam for extra sweetness, candied pepitas (pumpkin seeds) and some pastry leaves because why not (I had excess pastry). How are you guys using up your pumpkins in sweet preparations?

Coming to the topic of this dish, this sizzler contained veg manchurian, pan fried noodles and chilli paneer. It was sizzling hot and was enough for two to be overfilled! Although, the taste was good, it may burn a hole in your pocket. 🤗

Meatballs on open faced french bun.
I was at the bakery and saw these buns come right out the oven, no clue what I was going to do with it at first but I wanted one of those buns!! This is what I ended up making 🔻
italian veggie balls seasoned in steak spices & olive oil on a french bun with melted mozzarella & cheddar vegan cheese, shredded carrots,mushrooms & spicy pesto sauce as toppings.
Here is my spicy pesto recipe:
2ups fresh basil 🌿 leaves
1/2 cup light tasting extra virgin olive oil
2 Tablespoons macadamia nuts
Pinch of fresh arugula
2 big garlic cloves
1Tbsp lemon or lime juice
1/2 tsp Habanero spicy sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper * Mix all ingredients in food processor. If you use a blender your pesto will come out with more of a silky smooth texture however it will still have the same awesome taste! 🔻

Q & A: What were your favorite Halloween candies as a kid!? Must try these No Bake Peanut Butter Bites "Almost Reese's" Recipe below! As a kid, I always hoarded the Reese’s cups. My family would buy this huge 5lb Costco candy bag and I would sneak all the Reese's out. As you can tell I've had a sweet tooth for a while! I kept them in the freezer to enjoy for a few days after Halloween, if they lasted that long.I didn't think that combo could get any better until I made the real deal!
This recipe is the perfect Halloween treat or make a batch whenever inspiration strikes. It cannot be denied that Peanut Butter and Chocolate are a match made in heaven! They’re as close to the real deal as I’ve ever tasted and the best part no unnessaccary oils or preservatives! They come together in 15 minutes with only 8 ingredients and they’re naturally gluten-free and dairy-free. The only hard part is trying not to eat them all in one sitting.
Makes 8 to 12
Peanut Butter Filling
1/2 cup unsalted natural PB
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp coconut flour
1/4 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 scoop protein powder (optional)
Hard Chocolate Coating
1 tsp melted coconut oil
1/3 cup melted chocolate
1.Mix the filling ingredients together. Once combined, divide dough and roll into 1" rounds. Gently press down to flatten ( I think they are more satisfying flat since more surface area to eat!)
2.Lay on parchment paper over a baking sheet and freeze for 15 minutes.
3.Melt coating ingredients in 30 second intervals until fully melted.
4.Dip eat bite into chocolate until fully covered. Using two forks helps. One on bottom and on top. Transfer back to parchment paper.
5.Once done, store in an airtight container freezer or fridge.
