Regrann from @thechelsealady.cfc - Chelsea are set to open talks over a new deal with defender David Luiz. The Brazilian is out of contract at the end of the season and the Blues are keen to secure his long-term future. Luiz has already established himself as a key man and the club want to extend his deal to avoid losing him on a free in the summer. It is hoped contract talks will begin soon so a deal can be agreed before January, when Luiz will be able to negotiate with other suitors. #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #davidluiz - #regrann
Maurizio Sarri wants Eden Hazard to win the Golden Boot and told the forward he can score 40 goals this season. ‘I think so,’ Sarri said when asked if he thinks Hazard can score more than Salah, Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero. ‘I talked with Eden [on Friday] and I told him that for me, he can score 40 goals. He has to improve something, but he can do it. If you saw the game today, you have to say [he believed me].’ #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #edenhazard
Maurizio Sarri revealed he will rotate between Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata this season. ‘In the last two weeks I have seen four matches of Cardiff and four matches of PAOK Salonika and for me, I thought [on Friday] Giroud was more suitable for this match and Morata more suitable for the other,’ Sarri said. ‘I don’t know now who will be the striker of the future. I think both, because we have to play 60 matches. For their characteristics, they are different. It depends on the kind of match. [Giroud] played very well without scoring, but very useful for his teammates, I think.’ #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #alvaromorata #oliviergiroud
Eden Hazard believes he is capable of meeting Maurizio Sarri’s ambitious target after he scored a hat-trick in Chelsea’s 4-1 demolition of Cardiff on Saturday. He said: ‘I think Hazard can improve more. I think that he can spend less energy than now at 50 or 60 metres to the opposite goal. When we have the ball in our half and he touches the ball five times or six times, so his actions it shows he spends a lot of energies, and can have more energy in the last 25 metres. I think he can score 30 or 35 goals.’ Responding to his manager’s desire for more goals, Hazard said: ‘The manager just wants Chelsea to keep the ball, and then when we can find a solution we need to find good passes between the lines, like Jorginho, Kovacic and Fabregas can do. So, we have a lot of good players, and at the moment we are in confidence, so we shoot, we score. We need to keep this momentum. We have a lot of freedom on the pitch, not just the three in front but all over the pitch, so when we are in this condition we just need to take the ball and try something, and at the moment something happens, so that is very good. When I’m on the pitch I’m just trying to create chances, score goals. A hat-trick comes with confidence, so I will try to do more of this.’ #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #edenhazard
Jamie Carragher has named who he thinks is the best player in the Premier League - and steered clear of any Liverpool stars. "I think Hazard is the best player in the Premier League," he said on Sky Sports. "What I mean by that is, De Bruyne and Salah were the best players last season, I’m talking over a four or five-year period if I think ‘who’s the man?’. I do, I think he’s fantastic. I think he was the best player at the World Cup. I should say that, I think he should have won player of the tournament. But he’s been used really well by the manager. The great thing that I love and say about every top attacking player is they can’t be bullied, they can’t be knocked off the ball. Me as a defender thinks ‘can I get at him? Can I wind him up? Can I do this? Can I do that?’. No, he’s too strong." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #edenhazard
CHELSEA midfielder Jorginho has made a bigger difference on the Blues squad than any other player since Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho were in charge. “He looks a class act,” Jamie Carragher said. “Now you know why Man City and Chelsea I think were fighting over him. These are the things we are looking at now in terms of passes. Now, I think that’s also a big thing. When a manager comes in, you can already tell his style if he goes with that type of player in his holding-midfield role. A passer, rather than (N'Golo) Kante, who’s more someone who can break things up. He’s moved Kante’s position to bring him in there. I think that shows how he wants to go forward with the team and the quality of this lad. What I want to look at, the big difference with Chelsea, is the pressing high from the front. Now, under Conte and Mourinho, they won Premier Leagues, but sat off teams, which is not a problem, they were successful at it. But this is different. This is from the kick-off from Huddersfield and there’s the circled man Jorginho. Look, he’s already ordering players around, he’s Sarri’s man, he’s the coach on the pitch. Look pushing Kante, pushing, ‘get in’. What I love about this now is very rarely do you see a holding-midfield player really go flying out at the opposition’s holding-midfield player. More often than not he would hold his position there and protect his back four.” Chelsea begin their Europa League campain on Thursday when they visit PAOK Salonika. #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
CHELSEA star Eden Hazard has made it clear to manager Maurizio Sarri he would much rather play alongside Olivier Giroud than Alvaro Morata, according to Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher. Hazard believes the former Arsenal man is the best target man around. He said: “He's a target man, maybe the best in the world. I think so. When he gets the ball, he can hold it and we can go with him. For us, he's a player to play with. When Alvaro was playing it is completely different, he's a different player with different qualities, and it's good to have two good strikers in the team." Deeney has compared Giroud and Hazard to the former England and Liverpool duo Emile Heskey and Michael Owen. “With Giroud there, he gives Hazard that licence,” Deeney said. “Olivier Giroud is always going to occupy at least two defenders with his size, with his frame, the way he can bring the ball down. He’s not the slowest of people as well, he’s got everything to his game. You talk about Heskey and Owen, Owen’s always said how good Heskey was for him, and it’s the same there. I’ve been in that role sometimes, with (Odion) Ighalo and myself. You get just as much satisfaction knowing that he’s scored, the team’s winning and when he’s doing interviews it’s about how great the other person is doing.” Carragher agreed with Deeney and said Eden Hazard’s comments clearly show he prefers playing with Giroud over Morata. In response to Deeney, Carragher said: “I think Hazard’s saying that, and you don’t normally hear something like that. No disrespect to Morata but I think he’s probably thinking and saying to the manager really ‘I want to play with this fella more often than not’.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #alvaromorata #edenhazard #oliviergiroud
Maurizio Sarri may have the services of the best player in Europe, but the Italian knows that, for all Eden Hazard’s brilliance in attack, Chelsea’s chances of winning the Premier League are undermined by their failings in defence. Asked if he thought Chelsea are genuine title contenders, Warnock responded: “Absolutely, they are a good side.” But he added: “Against the top teams I think he [Sarri] will be working on certain things at the back. The top teams will find a weakness in certain areas.” Sarri agreed with Warnock. “I think he is right, because we are very dangerous in the defensive phase, and we need to improve there. But I think we can do it.” “Only eight players arrived for training at the beginning of the pre-season, so I think it’s normal that in this period we have some defensive problems. We can cope with the problems with the quality in the offensive phase, but not in the defensive phase. So I have to organise them better defensively and the players have to understand that.” “In my opinion two teams, Liverpool and Manchester City, are better than us. We have to improve step by step, and my target is to become the best team in England in one year to 18 months.” Sarri wants Hazard to concentrate his effectiveness in the final third of the pitch rather than dropping deep to start moves from the halfway line. The manager believes Hazard can score 40 goals this season if he expends less energy in the middle of the pitch, and even win the Golden Boot. “Yes, I think so. I told him he can score 40 goals. He has to improve some things, but he can do it.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
EDEN HAZARD has admitted he had talks over his future with Chelsea after the World Cup but insists he is ready to give his all this season after scoring a hat-trick in an emphatic win over Cardiff yesterday. Having hailed Real as a “special” club earlier in the summer, he told reporters at the World Cup: “I’ve been linked to all the big clubs. Next week it will be Bayern. No, I’m joking. You all know my preferred destination.” Chelsea were determined not to lose their star man and remain keen to tie the 27-year-old down to a new long-term contract worth a reported £300,000-a-week with just two years remaining on his current terms. Hazard - whose long-term future remains up in the air - has admitted he had discussions over potentially leaving the club. Asked by Match of the Day host Gary Lineker about his happiness at Chelsea following links over a summer exit, Hazard responded: “I’m always happy when I play football. After the World Cup I spoke, now I’m still with Chelsea. I just try to give everything for this club. This club gave me a lot so when I’m on the pitch I try to do my best.” He added: “I’m fresh. I took three weeks off after the World Cup. I think for me, it was enough, so we start the pre-season later. I’m good when I’m playing football. Sometimes I’m tired but on the pitch I try to give everything and at the moment we’re doing well so it’s a pleasure to play.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #edenhazard10

EDEN HAZARD believes Olivier Giroud is the best target man in the world after the pair combined to great effect in Chelsea's 4-1 win over Cardiff. And speaking after the match, Hazard hailed his strike partner. Hazard said: ”The game was very tough. We know especially after the break it's hard to play a good game because we are all a bit tired but we got an important three points today. We could play better, we should play better but we still scored four goals. Olivier Giroud is a target man - he is probably the best in the world - he is a pleasure to play with. N’Golo Kante has confirmed he considered quitting Chelsea in the summer amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain. ‘There was not a big desire on my side to go elsewhere after the World Cup,’ he said. ‘There was interest from other clubs, but after speaking with Chelsea, things were clear. The club is counting on me and I feel good here. What was logical therefore was to stay at Chelsea. There were some discussions with PSG. But after a discussion with Chelsea I understood that what was most important was to feel good where I was. I feel good at Chelsea. Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he is looking forward to playing under Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea after recovering from a knee injury that has delayed his start to the season. ‘We have a new coach with new tactics, new philosophy, new everything to be honest,’ Fabregas said. ‘It’s always interesting and exciting to see what is going to happen. We have been winning, which is important but we need to be more consistent. It’s not easy – it takes time. I think the coach is happy. I believe a lot in this team. Maurizio Sarri insists Chelsea need to take ‘another step’ before challenging for the Premier League title and says Liverpool will be Manchester City’s biggest challengers this term. ‘At the moment I can answer Manchester City or Liverpool,’ said Sarri, when asked who he felt were title challengers. ‘We need another step I think to be at the same level. I think so, but I hope not. It’s very difficult. The gap last season was 30 points so I think to go above 30 points in one season is very, very difficult. N’Golo Kante has urged Ruben Loftus-Cheek not to be discouraged by his slow start to the season under new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri. ‘When I came to Chelsea (in 2016) Ruben was already here and for sure he is a good player,’ said Kante who remains a mainstay of Chelsea’s midfield. ‘Now he’s in the England squad. He did well last season at Crystal Palace and I think he’s ready to play. He’s played some good games and now it’s the manager’s decision. Former Arsenal captain William Gallas has revealed his ex-teammate Philippe Senderos suffered panic attacks before matches. In particular, that Arsenal group suffered at the hands of Chelsea and their talismanic striker Didier Drogba, who boasted a sensational record of 13 goals in 15 games against the Gunners across all competitions. ‘I knew Philippe Senderos, before a match he would need to speak a lot, you could see that he was sweating, that he did not feel good,’ Gallas told RMC. ‘Especially against certain players. I saw him against Chelsea, against Didier Drogba, where he would genuinely panic, like he was going through his match before playing it. And unfortunately, when you saw him on the pitch, he lost his playing abilities, he didn’t play well. Maurizio Sarri is open to John Terry returning to Chelsea as a coach and has revealed the pair have held recent talks. "The last time I spoke with him he told me he wants to play for another season," said Sarri. "But I don't know the situation now. I'm talking about one week ago. Chelsea is his home of course." Asked if he would be open to Terry's return, Sarri said: "Of course." Asked to clarify if Terry would return as a coach or player, Sarri said: "In the coaching staff I think. As I said before I want to give space to the younger players. Fortunately we have very strong young players. Terry would be a point of reference for me, for everybody here I think. Here is his home. So he will be very important for everyone here. His presence." Sarri said Terry's possible return to Chelsea is "up to him". "If he wants to play for another season I think it's right he tries to play," said Sarri. "But if he wants to help us I'm very, very happy. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a doubt for Chelsea this weekend after picking up a shin injury on international duty with England. Loftus-Cheek's boss Maurizio Sarri confirmed the injury on Friday, and also explained how Emerson Palmieri and Davide Zappacosta could be sidelined. DAILY METRO :- John Terry will consider an offer from Chelsea to return to the club as a coach after rejecting the chance to join Spartak Moscow. However, the Sun claim that Terry also has an offer from former club Chelsea to become a first team coach with the Blues. Terry’s managerial aspirations are well known and should he choose to retire he will almost certainly take Chelsea up on their offer. However, Terry remains keen to continue playing and is waiting for the right offer before making a final decision. Manchester United believed they were on the brink of signing Ethan Ampadu when he was just 12 years old, according to the MEN. Former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was said to have been so impressed that he ordered the club’s then chief executive David Gill to conclude a deal having identified the teenager as ‘proper United player’. Exeter’s former academy coach Simon Hayward said earlier this year: ‘In that visit to Manchester United there was a game going on with his age group, there were trialists from all over Europe. Ethan played as a central defender, a central midfielder and a centre forward at different times in the game and, in my opinion, he was the best player on the pitch no matter what position he played in.’ Earlier this week it was revealed that England turned down the opportunity to secure Ampadu’s services before he committed his international future to Wales. #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #ethanampadu
Regrann from @thechelsealady.cfc - CHELSEA star David Luiz has opened up on the life of new boss Maurizio Sarri. "First of all he's a great person, great as a human," Luiz told Chelsea Magazine. "I believe in this philosophy, and then after that he is a great coach. He wants to play with the ball, he wants to play with intensity, to work on the details and to give us all the information he can about the next game and the opponent. Every week he tries to make the best plan possible for the exact game and this is great because he is working in the best way for the team, for the collective. I think his philosophy to live life is already great because he wants to enjoy every day, he wants to be happy and he wanted to take this opportunity to start one more chapter in his life," he added. Chelsea starlet Ruben Loftus-Cheek has revealed all about his team-mates, describing Andreas Christensen as his 'partner in crime'. Meanwhile, Loftus-Cheek labelled centre-back Antonio Rudiger as the joker in Chelsea's changing room. As reported by the club's official website, when asked who he sits next to on away trips, Loftus-Cheek said: 'I sit with Andreas Christensen because we’ve known each other for a long time. He normally watches a series, but I’m not watching anything in particular at the moment so I just play some games on my phone or listen to music.' Loftus-Cheek also revealed that he often sits next to Christensen at lunch and reflected on first seeing the defender play. He said: 'Usually Andreas, he’s my partner in crime. I’ve played with him since we were about 16. I remember when I first saw him play, he made it look so easy. He’s so talented.' Asked who the dressing room joker is, Loftus-Cheek had no hesitation in naming Rudiger. Loftus-Cheek said: 'Rudiger. He loves to talk but he’s a very funny guy.' Also in the interview Loftus-Cheek praised summer signing Jorginho, remarking that the Italy international, who was born in Brazil, has learnt English very quickly. When asked which Chelsea player took the longest to learn English, Loftus -Cheek said: 'I’m not sure about the longest but Jorginho already speaks it very well. He was good as soon as he arrived, but now he’s even picked up the slang as well.' Loftus-Cheek also had positive words for Cesar Azpilicueta, with the Spaniard often raising morale after a defeat. He said: 'Cesar Azpilicueta always has something positive to say in the dressing room, whether we’ve won or lost. After a defeat he will tell us to keep our chins up and move on to the next game, so that’s always good.' #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #rubenloftuscheek

I think his philosophy to live life is already great because he wants to enjoy every day, he wants to be happy and he wanted to take this opportunity to start one more chapter in his life," he added. RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK has revealed his Chelsea hero Gianfranco Zola is helping him learn to play the Maurizio Sarri way. “The manager and Gianfranco are helping me every day to learn the way he wants me to play as quickly as possible,” he said. “You couldn’t really get a better teacher than Gianfranco I didn’t watch him when I was a kid – I was too young – but you see clips of what he did for Chelsea, so to have him as an assistant is great for us players.” “We have had talks in the past couple of weeks and he told me that I need to learn tactically, so my focus is learning his tactics and his ways. The quicker I get that then the more opportunities I will get,” he said. “It is down to me working hard. I still train well and do everything the right way in case I do play. There are a lot of games coming up so there will be more opportunities. We have to be ready.” Palace still want Loftus-Cheek, and the midfielder added: “Possibly I could go back, but January is still far away. There are still a lot of games to play and I have to see what happens. Right now I am at Chelsea and my focus is at Chelsea and learning there. January is in the future and we will deal with that when it comes.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #rubenloftuscheek
Willian insists he never wanted to leave Chelsea in the summer and hopes he will remain at Stamford Bridge for the next five years. "A lot of people, they say a lot of things in the press, but I never said that I want to leave Chelsea, never," he told the club's website. "Always I say that I want to stay at Chelsea as long as possible, and I am happy to stay here. My mind was always like that, always when I arrive here my plan was to stay here as long as possible and now I am here five years, I hope to stay five more. I know I have two years of my contract left but I hope to stay more years in the Premier League. I am very happy to be here five years. I have won titles and played a lot of games with a lot of happy moments, and a few sad moments as well but that is part of football. These five years have been very good for me and I am proud to be a Chelsea player." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #willianborges
Ruben Loftus-Cheek insists he is focused solely on breaking into the Chelsea side after starting England's friendly victory over Switzerland. Asked if he could head back to Palace in January, Loftus-Cheek replied: "Possibly, but it is still far away, there are still a lot of games to play and I just have to see what happens. Right now I am at Chelsea and my focus is at Chelsea and learning at Chelsea. That is in the future and we will deal with that when it comes. I'm not sure when I am going to play. DID YOU KNOW THAT, There are lots of surprises about John Terry. One of them is that he has written training notes and coaching manuals since the first day Jose Mourinho took charge at Chelsea in 2004. They fill shelves of his study, along with replica trophies occupying more space than most Premier League boardrooms. 'When we spoke in the summer, it wasn't long after the season and I was still hurting. I loved my time at Aston Villa. I am still devastated that we didn't go up. The manager, players and supporters were incredible with me but I hate losing and I feel there is unfinished business there. Steve Bruce is a great man and with the backing of the new owners, Steve will hopefully get the club back into the Premier League. Don't get me wrong, if I don't play again I am content with what has been an unbelievable career, but I'm still hungry to go and play if everything around it is right. If it's right for me and my family.' Terry, 37, is a free agent. There are at least four offers on the table, including a Premier League team and clubs from abroad. 'I am in the best condition I have been in for the last eight to 10 years of my career. I've had a brilliant summer, the first time in 20 years I have been able to get away like that with my family during the school holidays. I was away so much last year because I was fully committed to giving everything to Aston Villa, but now I am fully recharged.' 'So I'll decide in a couple of weeks. I've got three or four offers on the table to carry on playing — domestically or abroad — the chance to work in TV, or I will go into management. Yes, it's true, I want to be the manager of Chelsea one day but that is a five- to eight-year plan. I have the voice of Ray Wilkins, who was such a brilliant man to me, in my mind. He missed playing every day after he retired and he told me, "John, play as long as you can, don't close that door until you have to".' Talking about his mentor Wilkins, who passed away in April. 'He was always the one who was first on the phone when something happened to me, good or bad. "Morning fella"… such a lovely man. I miss him so much.
Gary Cahill is ready to call time on his Chelsea career in January unless he plays more, according to reports. according to the Sun, the England international has become very frustrated about not being part of Maurizio Sarri's plans and may quit in January if his situation doesn't improve. Cahill has enjoyed six successful years at Stamford Bridge but he has fallen down the pecking order since Sarri's arrival due to his tactical approach and the return of David Luiz. #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #garycahill
New Scotland captain Andy Robertson believes Eden Hazard is among the best five players in the world as he prepares to lock horns with the Belgium playmaker on Friday night. The former Queen's Park, Dundee United and Hull player said: 'He is up there. He is probably in the top five at the minute. I played against him many a time and even if he is having a quiet game he can pop up at any point and turn a game and that is what we are up against. He is special. The way he turns and gets at players, he can commit two or three defenders at a time and that is a very special trait, there is not many that have it but he has it. He has been unbelievable for Chelsea and Belgium and he is somebody we will need to watch. The problem with Belgium is you can't focus on Hazard as someone else pops up. That is one of the problems of playing a world-class team, you have to be aware of all their threats and we will be ready for them and do our best to stop them.' #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #edenhazard
Jorginho's agent, Joao Santos, has revealed the midfielder agreed to join Manchester City before a turn of events resulted in him signing for rivals Chelsea. 'It was all done with Jorginho,' Joao Santos confirmed to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli. 'There was an agreement, but there was no agreement between the clubs. All parties have to agree, and one did not. Then Chelsea asked what the situation was after Sarri arrived and Jorginho went to London.' Although it was not Jorginho's original plan to move to London, his agent claims he is loving his time at the club - helped by their winning streak. 'He's really enjoying it at Chelsea, the team is on a roll and has won four matches out of four,' added Santos. 'It's a great start. Going to Chelsea was a unique opportunity, the career of a player is very short and now we hope for the best.' #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Thibaut Courtois admits he feels "sad" about how some Chelsea fans have turned against him following his transfer to Real Madrid. When asked about some Chelsea fans feeling angry about the manner of his exit, Courtois said: "It makes me feel sad and obviously they don't know all the truth. I think in March the decision was already made and I thought the club would accept it. Then because the transfer was closed I did not show up because I thought it better not to disturb the team and the squad. If I did go there maybe, I didn't want to be toxic, so obviously it is a pity because I love Chelsea. I loved playing there and I am happy to have won two Premier Leagues, a league cup and an FA Cup. Hopefully it will turn around." Courtois recently claimed "the level [at Real Madrid] is higher than at Chelsea", but he says he never meant to disrespect his former club. "Obviously you get some things in the media like I said there was not enough quality at Chelsea," Courtois said. "I never meant that. I just said maybe in training it goes a little bit faster but that is also the quality of Real Madrid - that is not saying Chelsea does not have quality." Courtois says a big factor in his decision to leave for Real was the opportunity to be closer to his two children, who live in Madrid with his ex-girlfriend, and he hopes Chelsea fans can understand that. "I will always look back with a happy feeling to Chelsea," Courtois added. "I had a chance to go back to Spain to be closer to my kids. That was an important thing for me. I know that a lot of Chelsea fans will understand my decision. I wish them the best and I am happy to see that they have won their first four games and I hope they can go on and win the league." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #thibautcourtois
Ethan Ampadu has vowed to impress Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and break into the first-team picture at Stamford Bridge. "You could say there's been frustration on one hand, but at the same time I'm getting experience training with the players," said Ampadu, who has remained in west London and not been loaned out like so many Chelsea youngsters. "I'm just trying to improve to get into the team. This season's plans are this season's plans and at the moment I've just to keep improving to try and get in the team. I want to show the manager what I can do." "There was talk [about my future], but I've always been thinking about Wales," Ampadu said. "As you could see here I really enjoy playing for Wales, the atmosphere, and everything around it. I've always felt part of the set-up and the senior players and staff have helped that. The older, more experienced players definitely help us settle in, and that gives us more confidence to go out on the pitch and express ourselves." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #ethanampadu
Kepa Arrizabalaga says he was excited about the chance to move to the Premier League with Chelsea and appreciated their willingness to make him the most expensive goalkeeper ever. Asked why he finally agreed to join Chelsea after rejecting approaches from Real and even Juventus, Kepa told AS: ‘It is a great club, which in recent years has won the Champions League, Europa League and the Premier League. I’m happy for all the effort that Chelsea has made because it’s not easy to pay those amounts and I’m looking forward to returning it on the field.’ Probed if not having to face boyhood club Athletic played a role in his decision, he continued: ‘I don’t know. It’s true it’s taken me away from home and the circle I’ve always grown up in. It’s important for my career. It’s true I’m going to another league, and I would only face Athletic in European competition – which would be a good sign for both clubs. So maybe [not having to play against Athletic was important]. But above all else what weighed most was the interest from Chelsea and how much they showed they wanted to sign me.’ #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Alvaro Morata considered leaving Chelsea this summer after calling his first season in English football "a disaster". "I thought about playing again in Spain or Italy. Of course I thought it would have been happy, but you cannot always escape from reality," he told the Spanish press. "It was a disaster last year, I did not know where I was, I was not happy. I signed for Chelsea to be there (World Cup in Russia) and I was not, although that ultimately made me motivated. I do not hold a grudge against (former Spain coach Julen) Lopetegui, I've lived a lot of nice things with him too, it was his opinion and I did not do my best season either. But I do not hold a grudge against anyone, I wish him all the best and more now that he is at Real Madrid." He added: "I experienced it, it was a very hard moment that has already happened and it's not worth looking at the past. I'm going to do everything I can to go to the next one, it was a difficult moment because I thought I was going to go. When you start playing football and watch the World Cups on TV, it's your biggest dream to play it with your country, I had a very bad time, I wanted my team-mates to win it but of course I wanted to be there and it was a very difficult moment. There are times I have stopped valuing coming here, you do not think about it until you see the national team matches from your home and you know that it is the greatest thing to be with Spain, I hope to come for all the games." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #alvaromorata
Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has aimed another parting shot at Chelsea, this time criticising the size of Stamford Bridge compared to the Bernabeu. ‘[The Bernabeu is] twice as big [as Stamford Bridge], of course, it’s a very different feeling,’ he told Het Nieuwsblad. ‘If you look forward, you only see a wall of people, while at Stamford Bridge you can still see the sky or the hotel behind the grandstand.’ Speaking about the difference in quality between Real and Chelsea, Courtois said: ‘In training, you see that the level at Real Madrid is high. CHELSEA players love working under Maurizio Sarri and there is a great atmosphere at the training ground. That is according to former Chelsea and Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri. Ranieri visited the Blues training ground earlier this week to meet up with fellow Italian Sarri. He watched a training session and got a good feel of the atmosphere among the squad. Ranieri says Sarri wants his players to enjoy the training but also works them hard. “When I am free I like to go and watch some managers at work,” Claudio Ranieri said on Goals on Sunday. “The atmosphere was fantastic, it was fantastic because Maurizio likes to enjoy but is strong, and it’s a good atmosphere. All the players are happy, it was a good training session. Maurizio Sarri thinks Marcos Alonso could be one of the best left-backs in the world after he grabbed an assist in Chelsea's 2-0 win over Bournemouth. "Alonso I think at the moment in this position, left-back, he is maybe the best in Europe," said Chelsea's head coach. "Physical qualities at top level, I think. He's doing very well in the offensive phase. I also think he can improve in the defensive phase. He could be the best left-back in the world." "I think now for us it's better to think of the next match. Because the gap at the beginning was 30 points," Sarri said. "I think it's very difficult to cover this gap in only one season. I'm very happy with the four matches, but I think only, starting from now, to the next match, not to the end of the season. I'm very happy with 12 points in four matches. But I always think we can do more. We can improve." "This kind of match usually you can win in the last 20-25 minutes," he added. "The match was very difficult against a very organised team. They defended very aggressively and the situation was not so easy." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #marcosalonso
Eden Hazard is enjoying playing football under new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri and says he is happy at Stamford Bridge. "I like to have the ball. Not in my own half, but in the last 30 metres," Hazard told Chelsea TV. "I like this type of game. It's completely different than Antonio Conte or (Jose) Mourinho before. We have more ball so for me, it's not bad." Asked how he is, Hazard said: "Good. You can see on the pitch. Let's see the future." The arrivals of Jorginho, who followed Sarri from Napoli, and Mateo Kovacic, on loan from Real Madrid, have given Chelsea a different dimension, Hazard says. Hazard added: "It's not so different (from the past). The big difference is we bring two players - Jorginho and (Mateo) Kovacic - and they are completely different. We just try to keep the ball more often and then when we have a chance to score, we need to score. But when we have more ball we can be more dangerous. We're playing good football, so we enjoy.
