@Regran_ed from @thechelsealady.cfc - David Luiz has praised "great human" Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea continued their flying start to the Premier League season with a dominant win at Burnley. Luiz said: "I'm so happy because he's a great human, he knows how to teach us, he knows how to improve us. When it's like that it's easy to understand and easy to try to be a fantastic player inside the pitch." "I think we have many talented players, it's not just Eden," said Luiz. "We lost Pedro (to illness), and then Ruben came on. This is a big club and we cannot just play with 11 players. (We need a) minimum of 18, 19 players ready to play and we are happy because we have more than 20." Luiz said: "Alvaro is a great player, he's doing amazing. Sometimes when the strikers don't score the pressure starts on them. They love to score goals. I would just say to him to keep doing what he is doing and the goals are going to come naturally like they came against Burnley." He said: "I had the opportunity to play in many fantastic squads, I won with great teams but also lost with great teams. I think with this team it's trying to improve every single day. The manager is here for three or four months now so he's trying to improve our style of football, our philosophy. The Premier League is not easy but it's just the beginning. We're keeping our feet on the ground." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #davidluiz4
Frank Lampard is looking forward to being reunited with "40,000 friends" when he makes an emotional return to Chelsea as manager of Derby County in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. "Well I'm preparing. I'm working hard, that's my job - to try and prepare us to give as good an account of ourselves as we can," Lampard said. "The bond I have with the fans and people behind the scenes there - it's a special draw for me to be able to go back and see people behind the scenes and see 40,000-plus friends in the stadium. I'm more emotional as I've got older, I think. You know these things catch you because you realise in life what an important part Chelsea was in my life, how important it was and what I owe for that in terms of thanks." Lampard has increased admiration for the impressive unbeaten Premier League start Sarri has made at Chelsea and thinks his old side can win the title. "Sarri is very impressive and I can feel it here because the staff here, everybody, the players have worked very hard from the start of pre-season to change certain things, as managers tend to do when they come in and I know the work that has to go in to try and make those changes," Lampard said. "Yeah I do (think Chelsea can win the Premier League). I see them in a mix of teams who are very strong up there. Man City we all know, Liverpool we know are strong, Tottenham are very strong but Chelsea are certainly in with a shout. With Eden Hazard in the form that he's been in at the start of the season, they've got an absolutely outstanding player in world football at the moment in their team" #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #franklAmpard

FRANK LAMPARD has praised Chelsea star Eden Hazard but joked the playmaker is scared to face his Derby side at Stamford Bridge. D erby boss Lampard insists he is completely aware of Hazard’s ability. “He is an absolutely outstanding player in world football,” Lampard declared. “Let’s hope he wants a rest." Lampard then joked: “I think he’s scared of coming up against my team! On current form, I think he is (the best in the world). Of course, that can change. But I love watching him and he’s in his prime.” Lampard was full of praise for the way Maurizio Sarri has taken to the Premier League. “They have been very impressive,” he said. “Sarri is very impressive. We’ve worked hard here to change certain things, and I know how much work goes into it. He’s done the same at Chelsea, and I see them in the mix of teams in with a shout of winning the title.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #edenhazard10 #franklampard
R uben Loftus-Cheek has been advised to remain patient if he is only named as a substitute when Chelsea bid to extend their unbeaten start to the season away to Burnley ton Sunday He said: “Of course we are all supporting each other. We are footballers but we are 25 players so we need to support each other. One day I play then the next day Ross, then Ruben, we have a lot of players. N’Golo [Kante], [Cesc] Fabregas, Jorginho, so a lot of quality in the midfield. It’s normal you can’t play every game so we are supporting each other. The season is long and we need every player. We have a good team, we have 22 or 23 players who can always play. That’s really important for the full season. In the end, the coach chooses who will play but we are all prepared and that’s the most important thing.” He said: “It’s good, I’m a little bit tired. I was not used to playing every three or four games and here it is very tough football. You can’t relax against anybody so it’s a little bit difficult but I really enjoy it. We have a great team, great fans and the city is nice. I like it a lot here.” “Pressure, no. Why? We like to play football and we are enjoying every moment, every training session, so it’s just joy, not pressure. We are still unbeaten but we need to look forward because we are not first in the league so we need to look ahead to get as many points as possible." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Willian believes Chelsea have no one to fear in the Premier League this season, after an impressive start under head coach Maurizio Sarri. Speaking exclusively to Soccer Saturday, the Brazil international said: "We know how important it is to play big games and to score in the last minute (against Manchester United) was amazing. We have no one to fear in the Premier League this season, we have a team who will fight until the end and I am sure we are going to do that." "It's been a very good start, we've played good football and it's all credit to Sarri," Willian said. "The way he works, it is all about playing good football and he has given us more opportunities to show our quality more." Willian admits morale is now high in the dressing room since Sarri took charge. "I am not here to criticise other managers or how they worked because every manager has a different philosophy," he added. "Now everyone can see Chelsea is a good team; he [Sarri] is a very positive guy - very intelligent, a very good manager who talks all the time with us. Sometimes he has a lot of fun and jokes sometimes which is good to keep the atmosphere high." #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Maurizio Sarri was very happy to see his Chelsea side recover from a difficult opening 10 minutes and take full control of the match after they cruised to a 4-0 win over Burnley. "For 10 minutes it was very difficult at the beginning," said Sarri. "Then we started to play very well and we managed the match well better than other matches. I am very happy for Alvaro, for Loftus Cheek again. I am disappointed for Giroud because today he could have scored and he needs a goal. But everything is okay we played very well, in full control for 80 minutes apart from the first 10." "At the moment we have to start to think to the next match because we have to play on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup and it will be difficult," he added. "We need to respect them because it will be very difficult and we want to go ahead in the competition." Eden Hazard was absent as he continued his recovery from a back problem but Sarri hopes to have him back soon. "I want Eden as soon as possible. I don't know for Wednesday but I hope for Sunday," Sarri said. The Chelsea boss also played down the moment Morata ran down the tunnel clutching his stomach after being substituted in the second half. "I don't know exactly, I think it's only a stomach ache and nothing else," he added. #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Willian has praised Maurizio Sarri for giving Chelsea ‘more opportunities to show our quality’ than former manager Antonio Conte. ‘It’s been a very good start, we’ve played good football and it’s all credit to Sarri,’ Willian told Sky Sports. ‘The way he works, it is all about playing good football and he has given us more opportunities to show our quality more. Willian has revealed how Maurizio Sarri outlined his philosophy to the Chelsea squad immediately after becoming the club’s new manager. ‘We like the way he works. We like that he wants us to play football, he wants us to have fun on the pitch,’ Willian told Chelsea’s official website. ‘That’s what we want, but of course with the responsibility as well. I think we play good football this season. Of course, we can improve more, but I think we are in a very good way. He [Sarri] just said: “I want to play football. I want to see good football. I want you to enjoy yourselves on the pitch. I want to have fun.” ‘So for us it was good, because we really enjoy it now on the pitch. We play proper football. Every single player is happy to work with him. Every manager has his own philosophy to work, a different philosophy. The other ones are in the past, now we have to see what Sarri wants us to do and keep improving. That’s what we want to do.’ ‘I feel well here. I have the affection from the fans as well, I have a good relationship with all the people that work for the club, that’s why I want to stay here,’ Willian added. Also because my family don’t want to leave. My family loves London and my wife’s the boss, that’s why I’m here, but I’m happy here too! Of course, I love to live here, my family loves to live in London, I love to play for Chelsea, everything is amazing. I’ve been here for five years and I hope to stay more. Everything is perfect.’ #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #willian
Maurizio Sarri has suggested that Eden Hazard will miss Chelsea’s Carabao Cup clash with Derby County on Wednesday. Speaking about Hazard’s injury after the win at Turf Moor, Sarri admits the forward remains a doubt ahead of Chelsea’s next fixture. ‘I want him every match, if possible. I think that he offers something different,’ said Sarri. ‘I am very happy as the team was able to score seven goals in two matches without him. I want him as soon as possible. I’m not sure for Wednesday.’ #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #edenhazard10
CHELSEA boss Maurizio Sarri described Ross Barkley as “complete” after the playmaker shone in the destruction of Burnley. “He’s doing very well,” the Italian said. “He’s playing really well. He’s improved as a defender in difficult conditions because last season was so difficult for him with a serious injury. He had to stop for six months so his physical condition is improving. He’s very good technically and he’s improving defensively. I think he’s complete now.” “I think he played well today,” the Chelsea gaffer said. “He went to the ball when it was necessary, he went deep when it was necessary. He had a very good game. Probably he could have scored more and he had three or four opportunities, but he scored a good goal. But I think the last three or four matches can be a good restart for him.” “I don’t know,” he said. “We were in trouble in the first 10 minutes because they were very aggressive. Then we started to move the ball very well and very fast.” “Chelsea are title contenders without a doubt,” he said. “They have a real mixture of players, they are a top top side. The technical and physical quality of their play is outstanding.” Dyche added: “We started very well, it's a fair shout and then we give away a poor goal from our point of view. “It was a top side doing what top sides do, they finish clinically.” #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Cesar Azpilicueta has admitted that playing alongside a number of Chelsea legends during his time at Stamford Bridge has helped him flourish as the club's leader this season. In an interview with the Daily Mirror, Azpilicueta admitted those club icons helped him to settle into the club and made him aware of what was expected. He said: 'When I came, I was lucky to have JT and Lamps and, even though they didn't wear the armband, Ashley, Didier (Drogba), Petr. I always felt from their behaviour on the day-by-day basis you can tell they were helping you. Sometimes not even saying anything, but just with their eyes. They made me understand what it was to play for Chelsea, for the fans, the whole club, it is something that as soon as you come in you take it and you feel it.' Azpilicueta admits there was no bad blood tough and revealed he remains in touch with Cole, who now plays for LA Galaxy. 'He didn't do anything bad with me, was always with great respect,' Azpilicueta added. 'That was amazing from a big player like him, the best left-back in Europe. We still built a good relationship and are talking a lot, and more than football, it is something I have in my mind and I really appreciate.' #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola
Gary Cahill believes Chelsea's trip to Burnley will prove a strong barometer of their chances of success this term. These are the games you need to win if you're going to be at the top and compete come the end of the season,' said Cahill. 'This is a very difficult game at the weekend going away to Burnley, everyone knows that. So these are the games you have to churn out the victories in. That's the way I've seen it over the years and this weekend will be no different. But we're prepared, the momentum's good, the form's good, so we've nothing in that respect to fear. But we're very respectful of how strong Burnley are at home, having proved that last season.' 'Talk to me again about all that in January or February: I've been here loads of times and before Christmas you just don't see where it's going to go,' said Cahill. 'Arsenal are on an unbelievable run of form at the minute. But when they were at our place and were a number of points off the top, people were kind of writing them off. But then ever since they've been in unbelievable form. That's what can happen. We did it the season we won the league, we struggled and lost at Arsenal away. We lost to Liverpool at home, and then we went on a 13, 14-game winning streak. So that's why I say talk to me again in January, February. I think after Christmas if you're in a position where you're competing coming into January, you're up there and you feel like you've got a chance. There's loads of games between now and then and a lot can happen. It's just a matter of going one week to the next and building the momentum. It's nice to go back into training off the back of a win, so that's why I say momentum's key. And at the minute we've got that.' #BlueIsTheColour #CFC #CFCFans #CFCFamily #CFCTillIDie #BPL #EPL #PremierLeague #PreSeason #CFCTour #Champions #ComeOnYouBlues #PremierLeagueChampions #ChelseaFC #COYB #KTBFFH #IfItsNotBlueItWillBe #CFCArmy #TheBlues #Chelsea_KTBFFH #ChelseaFans #ChelseaKWT #CFCNews #CFCTransfers #CFCTour #MaurizioSarri #Sarri #GianfrancoZola #garycahill
