Last week I rediscovered Applebees and had a flashback to my college days. We abuse our bodies by eating anything and everything we can get our hands on, usually late night Taco Bell, pizza, all kinds of sweets- it’s super easy to do this time of the year. The goal for the “don’t be gross (like Jake and Taylor) challenge” is to stay calorie conscious from Dec. 12th thru the 22nd by logging anything and everything we eat and by doing our best to stay within a healthy caloric range. If you’re going to participate, the rules are simple. Download MyFitnessPal, use the walkthrough to set up your healthy caloric goal and log everything you eat and drink starting tomorrow. Screenshot us your data at the end of each day and we will tally up the points. Within 100 (over or under) calories of your goal will get 2 points and within 250 will receive 1 point. Whoever has the most points come the 23rd wins (choice of gift card or MYSTERY BOX). 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will all win prizes. Look, no bacon in this one! 😂 A bunch of scrambled eggs and smoked chicken breast. I've been out with friends several times this past week, a perk of being from the south is that there are steakhouses and BBQ places everywhere! Sadly, no pics because I didn't want to be rude at the table. The phone stayed in my purse. I've been eating much more beef but I'm not "pure" - I'll use BBQ sauce occasionally & sparingly. But, when I cook, I've been using good quality, real butter & sea salt only. I'm getting there. 😄
