Comedian Akpororo Speaks On Davido’s Money Promise
At the recently concluded ‘The Oxymoron of Kenny Blaq’ held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Davido promised to give Akpororo some money when the comedian complained about the difficulty of raising his twins’ children.
While Akpororo was on stage, he lamented that he paid through his nose to ensure that his wife delivered their babies in the United States of America. He then asked Davido for help.
Replying, Davido, who was seated in the crowd, said he would give him money. He told Akpororo to meet him in Lekki, Lagos, the next day.
In an encounter with GoldmyneTV recently, however, Akpororo insisted that anything that happened at the show was between him and Davido.
He stated, The money Davido promised me is between Davido and I. If he had given me the money, do you expect me to share the amount with the public? I don’t think people should be concerned about that; they should leave Davido and I alone.
Also reacting to a street named after him, the comedian explained that he had always wanted to build a house and have a street in the Okoko area of Lagos.
He narrated, From day one, I had the plan to own a house in Okoko. I felt it would motivate the youth because many of them know how I started. I came to Okoko with nothing.
After building the house, I then had the mindset of having a street in my name. I am happy that the street I built my house is named after me.
I am attached to Okoko because I feel many youths are looking up to me and I do a lot of programmes there too. Though I have built a house in Okoko, I still plan to have houses in other places.
