The Fjords of the Central Coast we’re way more diverse than I was expecting. Each nook had its own little ecosystem; like the freshly birthed Shiner Perch living among the hot springs algae mats. #divelife
With any intentional change in behavior or habit, there is always a process involved with that change. .
The Transtheoretical Model (or stages of change) defines 5 stages of change - .
1. Pre-contemplation - unaware your habits/actions are problematic. No desire to change yet. Change seems more difficult than staying the same. .
2. Contemplation: Recognizing change could be beneficial and seriously weighing the pros and cons. .
3. Preparation (Determination): You are ready to start change within the next 30 days and start to make small changes. .
4. Action: When the real change happens. You place more emphasis on changing your lifestyle, and put more time, focus, and energy on changing yourself. .
5. Maintenance: you have sustained your behavior (defined as over 6 months) and continue to move forward with your life, preventing relapse. .
WHERE ARE YOU IN YOUR JOURNEY?! We all fall somewhere on this scale. If you have hit that contemplative state or are in the middle of action/maintenance and need motivation, guidance, and support, I AM HERE FOR YOU! .
It is a privilege to work with so many individuals on helping them understand how to change and what will lead them to their desired results.
I am not a one size fits all coach. Custom plans are my specialty 👌
Don’t put health and fitness in a box. There is SO much involved and YOU have to be your main coach.
So be brave and jump in!!

Get ready for a Fruity #ThirdThirstday
! Today, we have not one, not two, but three new fruited beers available in a special flight. Enjoy a taster of each and vote for your favorite beer to help us determine which fruity creation is above them all:
Citrus Blonde (5.8% ABV, 18 IBU) - This light and refreshing citrus wheat beer is brewed with tangerines and blood oranges, perfect for quenching your thirst when the sun is out.
Mango Wheat (5.1% ABV, 10 IBU) - We brewed Wrangler Wheat with our house ale yeast and added a heaping dose of real mango puree during and after fermentation. The result is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer with a nice twist of mango to keep things interesting.
You Down with O.G.P.? (5.6% ABV, 20 IBU) - Are you down with a tasty, citrus infused wheat ale that is super crushable? We sure hope so! This beer is inspired by our favorite Hawaiian beverage, infused with blood orange, pink guava and passion fruit puree and balanced over a soft pillowy malt profile.
May the best beer win! #FruityThirdThirstday
Right about this time during every season you want this shit to be over with! Soon as it’s gone you want it back. What’s up with that lol? Already excited for next year. Making moves 💪🏼
My roommates joke with me sometimes that I’m like an old grandpa who sits in his chair with a good book and a cup of tea, and immediately falls asleep! It’s like reading automatically makes me sleepy! Does anyone else relate??? This is incredibly inconveinent when there are so many good books out there and so many books that contribute to making me a better practitioner. How can I get better at what I do when my eyes are not allowing me to gain the wonderful information from books?
Enter convergence and divergence! Just like you develop the muscular skills to do a handstand, play the piano, or balance on a balance beam, your eyes have skills too! And guess what? We can train them! So recently, my focus has been different eye drills to help my reading skills. Your eyes ability to converge on a letter/word takes muscle. Specifically a contraction of the muscles on the inside of your eyes called the medial rectus, and an extension of the muscles on the outside of your eyes called the lateral rectus. So just like I might do a bicep curl, the pencil pushup is a great way to exercise those eye muscles.
1️⃣I hold a pencil an arms length away from me,
2️⃣fix my eyes on the top,
3️⃣slowly pull the pencil towards my nose like I’m trying to go cross eyed,
4️⃣keep that pencil clear! Not Blurry!
5️⃣And Slowly push it back out.
More reps equals more load! Try this exercise 3-5 times per day and see what happens! Also be on the lookout for a blog post on convergence and divergence and not only the biomechanics importance of working your eye skills, but also the neurological importance.
Can you tell which eye is having a harder time with this???
