Exercise: Chest Cable Crossovers
The Chest Cable Crossover exercise is an isolation exercise which activates the mid section of your pecs (chest). When it comes to the crossovers, many people end up doing it hoe I did in the first video. Although this is still correct and still engages our pec muscles, we can definitely do it better. -
The goal is to stretch and shorten the muscle in order to train the pectoralis muscles optimally. -💥If you look at the first video, when I bring my arms together, I end up leaving a gap between my chest and arm. This means that the chest muscles aren’t being shortened as much as they can, giving them room to breathe basically. -💥On the right video, you see two things happening different. 1️⃣ my arms don’t just meet each other, they end up crossing each other and that makes me increase the range of motion and squeeze my pec muscles a lot more. 2️⃣ right when I begin to crossover my arms, I supinated my forearms (twist my hand where I see my palms). Doing this will make sure my chest are squeezed together as much as possible to increase the stimulus on the muscles being targeted. -
This is only shown for the middle Chest Cable crossovers, and the same would go if I was aiming for the upper/lower chest. -
💥If your focus is weight loss/toning, then do this at the end of your chest workout. -
💥If your goal is to gain muscle mass/hypertrophy, then do this at the beginning of your workout to get your chest at a pre-fatigue stage. -

Today I decided to do compound lifts to build overall strength💪🏼 When I perform compound movements, I use a higher weight and less reps
1️⃣Box squat🌼 -slowly lower onto the box, pause for a second then slowly push up, keep back straight-
2️⃣Sumo deadlift🌼 -back straight, sumo stance, lift with legs and not back-
3️⃣Shoulder press🌼 -use strength to press weight up and not momentum, try to keep your back from arching-
4️⃣Pull ups🌼 -use a wide grip to target lats better-
