2) keep equipment tight and minimize transition
3) place feet pull handle get the erg moving and then strap in

Band resisted explosive lateral single shuffle (yeah, that looks like a good name for it). Focus on pushing the ground away, getting the back leg into full extension. Followed up by two lateral take-offs: 1) set-step and 2) shuffle to set step. Reps are kept low due to my goal being power and covering space. Lateral crossover sled drag and lateral lunge variations are great to build strength in this same plane.
