This Movember I dont want your donations, I just want you to move.
Movember is back again supporting men’s health and mental wellness raising funds awareness and helping to break the stigma on mental health amongst men, an issues that has affected far to many people I close to me.
It has been repeatedly shown that exercise can be a great method for helping to deal with stress, anxiety and depression. I know that personally in times of high stress and anxiety although it can be the last thing I want to do. Exercise helps to clear my mind and refocus my thoughts and direction.
So this year rather than just grow a Mo, I will also be getting involved with the @movember
Move campaign. The target is to complete 60km of movement through out the course of the month. (That 60 represents the number of men lost every hour to men’s health issues.) The distance will be accumulated in different ways everyday, so if you or someone you know needs help get of the couch, get moving, manage stress or find an outlet follow along and join in.
My steed of choice will be a @concept2inc
rower but feel free to run, walk, ski, x-trainer or bike (increase to 5km a day). Just get moving.
