Now that Winter Meetings have concluded, it’s time for EVERYONES favorite segment... BUY. BUY. BUY. SELL. SELL. SELL.
Buy: Tampa Bay Rays: Yandy Diaz for Jake Bauers. Give me that upgrade any day of the year. Signing Charlie Morton was a perfect fit (If only there was some baseball page that predicted this would happen 🤔 *sees Bold Predictions Post)
Buy: Andrew McCutchen: When the Phillies owner made the now famous “stupid money” comment, we thought he meant Corbin, Harper, etc. In Vegas, it was actually Cutch who became stupid rich from the Phillies. I like the fit, but not for the price.
Buy: Cincinnati Front Office: For the sake of competitive nature, I love the Reds going in this week. Even if their most notable move was Roark, they are linked to Realmuto, Harper, even Keuchel. Way to not accept being a distant 5th and going for it!!!
Sell: Craig Kimbrel: Remember when your parents told you not to be too greedy? Watch what is about to happen to Kimbrel to see the repercussion could be. As the reliever market flows, he seems to be stuck in this illusion he’s gonna make 100 million bucks.
Sell: Brodie Van Waganen: I was certain he was gonna make the meetings wonderful. Thanks for absolutely nothing, Brodie
Sell: Cleveland Indians: While I’m ok with the idea of adjusting payroll, at least make good trades in the process. Encarnacion-Santana swap looks horrendous on paper, and they gave up Yandy Diaz. Trading Alonso for nothing, give me a break. I’ve already addressed the Yan Gomes scenario as well. Rough offseason and I feel the bleeding isn’t done yet

According to teams that are talking to CP Craig Kimbrel, he is currently seeking a 6 year deal in which he will earn $100MM or more (around $16.6MM per year). He had 42 saves with a 2.74 ERA last season. There has been little to no rumors of teams pursuing him in the recent days.
Los Medias Rojas no tienen intención de volver a Firmar a el cerrador #CraigKimbrel
Lineup switch! Andrew Benintendi will leadoff while Mookie Betts will bag second in 2019. I actually really like this swap at the top of the order

Well this is not good but all that we want is for him to be healthy. We don’t want to risk another major injury, obviously. Pedro Strop or Carl Edwards would be our closer for know unless we get someone like Craig Kimbrel or Andrew Miller which is totally possible. Who would you rather have, Pedro Strop or Carl Edwards? #brandonmorrow #pedrostrop #carledwards #andrewmiller #craigkimbrel #cubs
Nasty Nate must love that dirty water in Boston, he’s staying put signing a 4 year, $67.5 Million contract ⚾️
Nathan Eovaldi Agrees to Re-Sign with Red Sox on 4-Year, $67.5 Million Deal
The Red Sox have re-signed Nathan Eovaldi (pending physical) to a 4 year deal for $67.5 million. This is great for the team. Obviously there’s a little risk because it’s 4 years and given Eovaldi’s health history but he ended up being a huge part of this World Series team and I wouldn’t want him anywhere else

Great new on free agent Nathan Eovaldi, talks have been heating up with Boston and they seem to be the top contender to re-sign him which would be fantastic.
“The market is really just the Red Sox at this point”
According to teams pursuing free agent CP Craig Kimbrel, he is asking for a 6 year deal. The 30 year old got 42 saves last season in 47 attempts with a 2.74 ERA. If he is granted this contract, it will be till the 2024 season, where he would be 36 years old. The Red Sox, Phillies, Braves, and Cardinals are the teams that could potentially bid for Kimbrel, but it’s unknown whether they will grant him a 6 year deal. ———————————————————————

Craig Kimbrel, ahora es agente libre, domina en salvados desde 2009. Rodney y Chapman, los unicos latinos en el Top 5. #mlb #craigkimbrel
Would you give closer Craig Kimbrel the 6 year deal that he is asking for? Kimbrel, 30, is coming off an up and down season in which is he racked up 42 saves with an ERA or 2.74 in 63 appearances however, those stats can be deceiving as Kimbrel had many high leverage moments especially in the postseason in which he was bailed out by the defense a couple of times. So, do you guys think the Sox should give him the 6 years or give him less? Comment down below! In my opinion I would NOT give him anything over a 3 maybe 4 year deal. -

Current take in the Mets off-season:
I had hope after the Mets brought on Van Wagenen that they would make good decisions this off-season, but they have proven otherwise.
All the Syndergaard rumors indicated the Mets were looking at a short term rebuild, which with the status of their farm system would make no sense. The Padres rumor made no sense for the Padres too. Did they think they would be competing next season? If the Mets do not lock up deGrom, Syndergaard, and Wheeler, or at least one or two of them they could be prepared for long term success. Next the Cano deal-first I thought this deal would not be horrible, solely because of Diaz, but losing Kelenic is not something the Mets should do. Even Dunn is a bit much. The Relief Free Agent class is strong enough that the Mets do not need to make this deal, and while Cano would be an upgrade over Frazier in the infield, at 36 he is not what the team needs. Non tendering Flores is a horrible move, and has no class at all. I am very disappointed in the team for doing this. Hopefully they will still sign him, but if not I will confidently say he will hit like Justin Turner and Daniel Murphy next year. I'm waiting for the team to pick up Ramos or Grandal, because they need that. If also like to see Familia, Miller and/or Britton sign with the team. Kimbrel seems to be looking for a long term deal which doesn't suit the Mets, but he is also on the table. I was hoping they'd pick up Donaldson but now that he's off the board I think the team should pursue Jed Lowrie or trade for an infielder. Again Cano would be an upgrade, but the deal they're looking at now is very bad. #Mets #baseball #mlb #mariners #robinsoncano #wilmerflores #edwindiaz #jedlowrie #hotstove #joshdonaldson #craigkimbrel #zachbritton #jeurysfamilia #wilsonramos #nym #yasmanigrandal #jaredkelenic #noahsyndergaard #padres #andrewmiller
