All smiles as I begin prep on my next accountability group. These past couple of weeks have been fun trying new workouts! I never imagined in a million years I would be doing home workouts and I definitely never thought I would be incorporating a step! We just have to make the move and step out of our comfort zone sometime though!

Doc last week read the Xray and said, "It's a contusion." Today's Xray showed a fracture 🤦🏾♂️ Just had it reset and gotta see an Orthopedic. This is why I have trust issues!!!

First off lets start off with a lot of these exercises are going to overlap since there's a few exercise that basically hit the whole entire back, one being the deadlift since it almost hits the entire body, haha!
So what I have here is the major muscle groups of your back and if you want a well developed back, you're going to have to hit all the angles (i.e. vertical, horizontal, etc...).
Let's go over some of the breakdown:
-Everyone knows these as the wings of our backs and probably the most famous of the back muscles. These muscle will create the illusion of a V-taper and making the appearance of your waist smaller than it actuall is. The muscle is located from under your armpit area and the back of the ribs.

-Dumbbell Single Arm Rows
-The Traps, the most powerful and largest of the back muscle groups. The trapezius is located from the collarbobe frontal view and reach all the way down to the lower back region. Most pay attention to the upper portion of the traps but a well developer trapezius will be worked from the top, middle and lower fibers.
*Most commmon exercises*
-These guys are tiny and are located underneath the trapezius, they originally come from the vertebrae and attach to the scapulae. Whenever you squeeze your shoulder blades together and retract these are the muscle you are using in order to perform this task.

Week 2 Day 5: Lower Focus
Nothing beats American Muscle. I am talking about the Ford Mustang. 😜😜. The workout today was all lower body. Larger muscle = a lot of burn. 🔥🔥 If you push yourself everyday, the results will come. But, you have to do it consistently. That’s the only secret.

We just finished up a series at our church called “The Crazy Cycle in Marriage.” It was a good eye opening series about not getting in a viscous cycle when your spouse disrespects you or is unloving.
Let’s not pretend that we don’t argue, that we don’t have disagreements or that we have a Hollywood romance. We have our fair share of problems and it was vital to be able to open my eyes to some of the things that can be avoided by seeing things from my wife’s perspective.
Health is more than the food you eat. It’s also about creating healthy relationships especially a healthy marriage! Conflict in marriage isn’t a bad thing but how you deal with the conflict and resolve the conflict can either bring you closer to your spouse or drive you further apart!
I don’t have it all figured out but I’m willing to learn so that my overall health, including our marriage, is a priority!
This picture is from when I first joined the Royal Marines. I got to week 24 out 32 weeks then decided to leave as I found carrying the weight of the kit to hard I was a young 16 year old.
I then went away and started to pack on the lbs and bulk up. And then went onto rejoin and serviced 6 years.
Little lesson you can take away from this.... Don’t give up on your goals/dreams. The Royal Marines was a big dream of mine, I overcome the obstacles in the way and went onto achieve that goal. If there is a goal you have your eye on go get it and make it happen.

Week 2 Day 4: Ripsanity
That was this workout. Shaun T was striking hard. There was no mercy. I embraced the burn 🔥 and it was 🥵 HOT!!! I enjoy pushing myself and seeing where my limits are. Do you?
