It still boggles my mind why places like these are not more widely known. When I got off the ferry at Sok Kwu Wan, a small fishing village on the eastern side of Lamma Island, I felt like I was somewhere else. Somewhere in SE Asia maybe, but still not quite--But surely not Hong Kong. As I started hiking the Family Trail, I rounded a corner and what I saw made me pause. I don't remember when the last time I saw such turquoise blue water like this was. I wasn't captivated by the rows of seafood restaurants before, but this view of the entire village and that beautiful sea definitely stopped me in my tracks.
