Quality Care for Children is excited to recognize 54 Georgia child care programs we support through the Child and Adult Care Food Program as Moo Moo Award recipients! This is phenomenal as it indicates that these centers have had no milk serving errors over the last 12 months. We had an additional 18 centers receive an Honorable Mention.
Congratulations to all of our Moo Moo Awards winners!

Don't send your kids out trick-or-treating tonight on an empty stomach! Ghost tortilla snacks are a terrifyingly easy and tasty treat to make! Preheat oven to 350 degrees; use a cookie cutter to cut out your shape out of a corn or flour tortilla; for the corn tortilla, brush both sides with vegetable oil and salt or try the flour tortilla with melted butter and a sprinkling of sugar and cinnamon on the top. Bake in the oven for seven to 11 minutes depending on the tortilla!

It's a great day for reading with your child. To make sure that you are helping them forge connections between their different neurological areas, be sure to combine audio with rich visuals (as well as some snuggling) and back-and-forth talking about the book, and you've got brain-building in action!

Your young child loves creative play -- especially acting like he's cooking, on the phone, playing dress up -- all the things that he sees mommy and daddy do. He also learns important social-emotional traits too, like being kind or a good sharer, from watching you. Teach your children well.

"Although all children benefit most from high quality care, girls show some improvement in lower quality care and boys are actually harmed by it." Prof. James Heckman #EarlyEdGa #QualityRated

Peach pie or peach cobbler? We like them both but in Peach County, Ga., peach cobbler is obviously preferred as volunteers make the World's Largest Peach Cobbler (11 ft. x 5 ft.) during June's Peach Festival every year.
