Ждем вас в гости!😊
Feeling guilty about indulging over the weekend and falling "Off track”😑
You didn’t fall off track.
It’s called living and enjoying life as us humans are supposed to! 😁
There are no "good” or “bad” foods. 🥗
Stop punishing yourself for eating an entire Easter egg or 2 and a few cheeky tipples. 🍸 .
If you ate only chocolate and hot cross buns this weekend, went out and celebrated with fam or friends, drank a bit too much, didn’t touch a vegetable… 🍫 .
THAT IS OKAY.🙌🏼
All of your progress is NOT ruined from one weekend. If you make this an every weekend thing, then that’s a different story. BUT, consistency always wins! 🏆
So, if you think this weekend was less than optimal for you in regards to reaching your goals, please take note ….
1. STOP STRESSING: this will only make matters worse. Stress causes inflammation in your body and dampens your mood. Instead, move on and get back into your normal, everyday routine.🧠
2. DON’T PUNISH YOURSELF: you don’t have to do extra cardio, cut calories or starve yourself— just eat as your normally would and fill your plate with veggies, wholegrains, protein, healthy fats and drink water! Like I say you ain't committed a crime or stole a car 🚘 .
3. ASK YOURSELF WHY: So this weekend may be pretty obvious being Easter but on a regular weekend this also applies ... why did you choose to drink too much or overeat this weekend? Were you stressed? Overwhelmed? Anxious? happy? Bored? Knowing the reason behind the behaviour is the first step addressing the root of your real issues.
4. STOP FEELING GUILTY AROUND FOOD: This is SO IMPORTANT when it comes to your healthy lifestyle goals. Your mindset determines your reality friends. When you hold no moral value to food and don’t allow it to effect your worth and happiness, everything else falls into place.🥘
We can all be hard on ourselves sometimes, but we don’t need to be when it comes to overindulging at Easter time (or any time!)🙏🏼

18 mos Noah sat patiently in the shopping cart after a long day of running errands.
Waiting in the long line of customer service.
Eyes, I could feel them on us.
I turned back to find the eyes belonged to a middle aged man. Eyes Blue, soft, lovingly staring at my Noah, grinning heavily. “My little boy looked just like him.” He said to me, never breaking his stare. “Really? That’s neat, how old is he now?” I asked- thinking it was small talk to help pass time in line.
“Oh, he’s no longer with us.” He replied smiling at Noah.
Trying to think quick, trying to sound genuine instead of the generic ‘I’m sorry.’
Yet, all I could say was what I didn’t want to.
“I’m so sorry to hear that.”
The man easing my discomfort with lack of words. Continued.
“He was almost 5 years old, and he died in his sleep. The sweetest, most amazing boy. Gone.”
Continuing to offer his smile to Noah, as if he were his own son. “What happened?” I asked. “SIDS. That’s all they could tell us.”
Me shocked, “I thought that only happened to babies?” “Nope, it can happen all the way to age 5.” We talked some more and in the end he said, ‘make sure you love them, make sure they know it.’
I waddled my pregnant self out of the store, with Noah .
And vowed I’d never forget that moment.
Since then, I kiss my babies several times each night after our routines of kisses, books, songs and backscratch. And while their tired eyes, stay closed in their slumber, I whisper in their ear.
“Your mommy loves you.” With one more kiss.
Every night I think of that man and his boy.
Every night I pray for another day.
And every Easter I think of that man.
And all those parents who have lost little one’s too early, or loved ones.
I think of their hearts and the hole that could never be replaced.
But, instead can be mended.
And work again, because of the promise that Jesus Christ did conquer death. That He lives again.
Because of it, families will be reunited. Families can heal.
Families can taste happiness.
And if you lack, families can be created to custom fit what you want and need.
This family of mine, is just that- custom made. Families forever.
P.s. yes, Zeke is holding a snake he caught right before the pics
