No it’s not glamorous, but one of our goals this off season was to streamline our note taking and improve connectivity in our post processing area. Part of that was setting up this beat up old netbook with a free (as in beer and as in freedom) and open source operating system. We’ve been integrating more open source technology into our operations, and this step has already improved our crop planning and post harvest record keeping. .
