States Election results: the dance of democracy rewards…. the Congress Party
New Delhi: with the tailwind of recent victory over BJP in three central states, Congress president Rahul Gandhi resumed his campaign-style attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi by saying that there was a popular perception of his being “corrupt”, adding that the opposition would defeat BJP in May 2019 national elections. “The people were not happy with its performance and it was a time for a change, this is a clear message” said Rahul Gandhi.
Meanwhile Modi congratulated Congress for the victory and said “We accept the people’s mandate with humility, I thank all the people for giving us the opportunity to serve those states. Victory and defeat are integral part of life and we accept the verdict arrived by the polls”. [White is collecting comments from several local entrepreneurs; we have found a nearly 50-50 scenario, but all of them agree that parties top priority should be the focus on the infrastructures investments plan.] Let us say that politics is followed with real passion in all India, like soccer in Italy!
