I hiked observation point in @zionnps this weekend and survived! It was SO hard but @to.the.table was an excellent hiking assister. If you’re terrified of heights like I am but want to see the best view in the house, skip angels landing and head up observation point. It’s incredible.

It wasn’t until we got new backpacks that I discovered my abject failure to have developed any of the muscles most useful for strenuous, multi-day hikes. Nina’s body, on the other hand, was made for this sort of schlepping. Once we hit the trail, my more-regularly trained cardiovascular system was no match for her anatomically-superior hips. As I overexerted muscles I never knew I had, she hiked circles around me. At one point, she graciously took half my water and still maintained a healthy lead.
To indulge your inner sadist and read more about my suffering, or to discover the different levels of weirdness we encountered while out exploring Big Bend’s South Rim Trail, check out our blog! A link for the article’s in our bio.
Here's a throwback to the two weeks we spent at Big Bend National Park last year—our favorite park so far. It was full of surreal vistas, but this one stole the show...for obvious reasons.🌄⠀
Believe it or not, there were even MORE reasons we loved Big Bend.💥 So many, in fact, that Chris felt compelled to write about them on our website. That's also where you'll find more of Nina's awesome photos. Check our bio for the link!
I have too many photos to share, so I'm going to start posting a couple of times a day until I kinda catch up. I hope y'all don't mind.
Note: this is NOT what Yosemite looks like right now. This shot is from January...I think. Anyway, it's not recent.
