I ran myself into the ground multiple times this year. I took on too much. I spent too much time and energy stressing and trying to people please 👎🏽
One of my goals for 2019 is to focus on self care and love. Doing what makes me happy, enjoying more me time, listening to my body, saying ‘no’ when I want to, slowing down, breathing, recharging when I need to and prioritising relationships that matter 😌
If it’s not a “hell yeah!”, it’s a no 🙌🏽

As funny or lame as it sounds, I think about lifting a lot...
I was always active growing up, but I had this weird phase in my late teens where I had stopped dance/gymnastics & just felt...bleh.
I fell into this weird depression where I didn’t feel good for anyone or anything & I had ZERO desire to take care of myself.
I almost quite literally just woke up one day & decided to give a shit.
I took my very first “before” pics & started a very (looking back) cringe worthy lifting video.
Annnd I hated it.
It was hard as fuck, progress was slow, & I just didn’t get “IT” ...
I would come on IG & be like, “WHAT AM I MISSING?!”
Truth is, it just takes time...
Time & consistency to find YOUR groove.
I love to lift.
I love what it does for my body/mind.
I also love to adventure out into my beautiful state, read books, write, drink whiskey, & a million other things for ME.
So, I guess my point here is if you feel like you’re missing “it” there is no one thing or one answer...
You gotta just keep doing you until you find your version of “it” & you’re sure as shit not gonna find it on here. 🤙🏼❤️ #loldex #mood #findyourpassion

I was worried about tonight’s workout, but it turned out to be an AMAZING set! I haven’t performed deadlifts in a while, so naturally I was worried about my ability to perform higher reps. Not only did it feel solid, but I feel like I got a great workout from it! I actually really enjoyed doing the single leg get ups and my quads were on fire at the end! This was a great workout to end my week!
