One of the reasons I created The Body Create Method was because I was constantly being told that once I had kids, I would never be able to get my “shape” back. . Yes, my body has changed after 2 kids but I have never been more fit in my life. . More importantly, I have learnt balance, which means I can enjoy social outings with my loved ones without worrying about being on a “diet”. . Being fit and healthy doesn’t have to be such a viscous cycle. . You can learn to live a life free of fad diets, “magic pills”, teas ............ . FOOD FREEDOM- JULIE WHAT IS THIS YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT?! . I remember seeing 1150 daily calories in MFP dreading that number because I knew it was so easy to get close to it! . I would eat breakfast- maybe it was 300-400 calories and the anxiety started to get in- I only had 800 or so calorie left for the day- and I’ve barley ate anything yet! . This was a TERRIFYING way to live your life everyday! . I was convinced that if I broke this restriction and went over my calories for the day I would gain weight- I would have to stay under this number to stay lean! . I had to measure every ounce of food I put in my body to keep my calories this low- I stayed in this cycle for years- it was tourture- LITERAL TOURTURE! . All I did was think about food... ✔️how hungry I was ✔️how if I ate something “bad” I need to work it off doing cardio for an hour ✔️fearful of falling off track ✔️falling into massive amount of guilt when I did ✔️the word even food gave me anxiety . If this is what dieting looked like- I wouldn’t sign anyone up for this- I would have no desire to put clients through this! . BUT THIS IS NOT THE WAY! . I am super conscious of how I look when I workout and when I make workout videos. . I pick at every little thing from how my abs look, posture, how I look when I lift my legs ..... . I’m sure a lot of us feel like this too. Always looking for what we’re doing wrong instead of actually celebrating all the things we’re doing right. . Craving chocolate but don’t want the added calories? 🚫These little treats are Heavenly! Healthy snacks are always of importance, but with this pregnancy I have been trying to find new, easy and healthy things to snack on. And let’s be honest here- there’s no “real rule” that chocolate has to be saved for dessert can I get an AMEEEEEN ? 🙌🏼 CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES (did I mention they were NO BAKE?! 😬) 1/2 c Honey 1 c Peanut Butter (all natural to avoid sugars) 6 Tbsps Cocoa Powder 1/2 c Coconut Oil 2 Tsp Vanilla 2 1/4 c Quick Oats, gluten free •Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan, on low-med heat. Stir and melt down until well blended. •Add vanilla and oats, stir until completely coated. •Line cookie sheet with wax paper, use tablespoon and drop spoonful onto sheet. Refrigerate at least 30 mins. Enjoy!! (Keep in an airtight container in the fridge IF there’s any leftover 😉)

😲SOMEDAYS YOU JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE WORKING OUT😬 . And that was so me today. I literally was feeling off from shark week hitting me full on today. I mean, I haven't cramped like that in over 20 years. And my motivation was out the door. . Normally, working out helps, but that didn't even work today. Had to full on modify today and even stopped 10 minutes early from the end(still made it a 35 minute workout!!) . And that is life sometimes, right?! You just don't want to go to work, or start that important project, or do those daily tasks that work your business, but you do it anyway because life is NOT about our feelings, it's about our ACTIONS!! . See that smile? That’s the smile of a woman who is trying to figure things out but has choosen to be happy every step of the way. . Keeping healthy for me also means choosing to be happy. Happiness is a choice that you are solely responsible for. . I used to look at all these beautiful, fit women with insane bodies on instagram and would compare my body to theirs. . They had 6 pack abs and the tightest butts but somehow, my body just didn’t look that good (that’s what I told myself). . Eventually, I unfollowed these women. Because seeing their half naked bodies everyday was not good for my health and happiness. . I live, practice and preach a life of balance. I have a family and little kids and I love to enjoy the occasional “unhealthy” meals without feeling guilty or worrying about what effects that meal will have on my “flat abs”. . I am not an athlete and do not desire an athlete’s body. . What I am is a fit, strong and beautiful woman - and let’s not forget happy too. . And that is just enough.....for now. .
