I think my all around favorite is probably blueberries, because they are more diverse in use for me... but I love just eating raspberries raw, not mixed with anything else. I find their flavor too intense to pair, but I do love them from time to time as a treat ❤️

Can kitchen accidents lead to discovery? I mean... of course they can although most lead to tons of cleaning. After writing an article about sous vide and meat texture modification I ran into some issues. I actually wanted the show that cooking tender cuts for extended periods of time can be detrimental (and it is… it’s a well known fact) but NY steaks are a bit more resilient than I thought. I used to cook these to core temperature and feel like that was it. And it was it. The steaks are done. For the purpose of my testI let one go in the sous vide bath for 7 hours expecting to come back to a mushy steak… but it had me at hello. Best NY steak I’ve ever had. The temperature I used was 52C. Have you ever run into texture issues cooking sous vide?
Someone is hungry...lol. Forgot that I’m back in the U.S. and the portion is heavy. Got Chilaquiles Roja and Taco de Carne Asada. I didn’t realized both are served with Arroz y Frijoles.
Nagoya style mazesoba (dry ramen), $12.80++. The menu instructed us to mix the noodles for 20 seconds for optimum taste. With the copious amounts of spring onion, seaweed, minced meat and a soft boiled egg, the ramen is flavourful. The sauce sticks to the noodles well and with additional vinegar and chilli oil, it may resemble bak chor mee but it’s so much more. The thick ramen and sauce makes every bite a burst of flavour. Served with a small cup of chicken soup, this little joint is busy during lunch but still served up awesome food. Recommended!
Итак, берем говядину, много овощей и зелени, какой-нибудь вкусный источник углеводов (здесь я выбрала булгур), пару видов масла и соевый соус. Мясо быстро обжариваем, отвариваем булгур, над овощами и зеленью не издеваемся - просто моем/нарезаем (с бататом чуть сложнее, но его можно спокойно не добавлять, если лень 😀), взбиваем заправку из оливкового и кунжутного, с соевым соусом и чесноком. Все красиво складываем в большие мисочки - и все, крутой обед на четверых готов! Ну или будду боул с говядиной (buddha bowl), как вам больше нравится 🥙
Кстати, многие ингредиенты вполне взаимозаменяемы. Так что можно и поэкспериментировать, используя содержимое вашего холодильника.
