Bolinho de hommus desconstruído ( pq tinha que ter ficado mais em formato de bolinho e ficou mais como uma “bolachinha “ 😂😂😂😂
Cozinhar o grão de bico e passar no processador com tahine , cebolinha , sal, azeite , limão , cominho e alho . Mistura com um tiquinho de farinha de arroz ou farinha de grão de bico ( pra dar pra modelar) fica tipo um “falafel”. ( era pra ficar como falafel) - sinceramente o sabor ficou incrível - fez o maior sucesso ). Até a minha vizinha de porta falou do cheiro q ficou no corredor.
Forno durante 30’. Estrogonofe de shimeji ( ficou genial)
Refoga o shimeji com Pimenta , sal, azeite , alho , cebola, cebolinha .
O molho foi o leite de castanha do Pará ( tem no post anterior a receita). Misturei com cominho , noz moscada , Pimenta em pó branca e preta , cebolinha . A consistência do molho vc tem q graduar com a quantidade de água .

I’ve been dying to go to the farmers market here in Portland, and I FINALLY had the chance to go yesterday with my mom who was in town visiting. It’s the little things, ya know?

veggie burger, hemp hearts, sunflower seeds, and a bed of spinach/arugula tossed in homemade apple cider vinaigrette 🌱✨

I’m beginning to realize that taking a step away from the kitchen is one of the best ways to kick start your creativity if you’ve been in a bit of a rut. I was feeling like that before I went abroad for two weeks, and was nervous coming back home that I wouldn’t have any new recipe ideas to share with you guys, simply because I didn’t have access to a kitchen to create & experiment. I’m glad I was proven wrong, though. If anything, I feel refreshed & almost overwhelmed by everything I want to cook for the rest of the summer! 😅 Here’s a dessert I enjoyed on this gloomy Sunday: queso fresco, grilled nectarine, toasty graham cracker & almonds, honey drizzle & chili lime seasoning. Tastes like a sweet, salty & tangy breakfast bowl of cottage cheese & fruit 🍑 #dceatings

Ended another week with a bowl of Porridge topped with the juiciest Peach & Fresh Strawberries ever (of course with a Peanut Butter Pool too) 😇🍓🍑❤️
Does anyone else still love having warm bowls of porridge even when its summer? Or am I just a strange porridge obsessed individual who should get on board with smoothie bowls etc? 🙈

Today I’ve been very all over the place & not very with it. I woke up feeling semi-okay, but as the morning/day went on I started to feel very sick in my stomach, weak, drained, sore in my head & I guess just spaced out: unmotivated to do anything even though I wanted to. Eventually after a slow start, I did get out for the afternoon with my parents for a picnic & a stroll around a walled gardens at a country estate. Was nice just to enjoy the last day they had off before they start at work again tomorrow & get out of the house. This evening is much like this morning, but I think it’s just time for me to rest. I’ve been feeling like this a lot again recently & I’m wondering if it’s because I’ve started a new medication. Strange how the body reacts to things - often things seem start off bad before things get better. Onwards & upwards this week I hope!

in Tower Grove South for months. They're only open once a week - Sunday brunch, 9am-2pm - so it really feels like an 'event' kind of a place. It's not pretentious or particularly fancy, just a good menu (changed weekly) and lots of attention to detail.
The food really lived up to expectations. Lots of locally sourced ingredients, like the chorizo and eggs in the breakfast burrito. The buttermilk waffles were excellent, and it's hard to go wrong with bottomless coffee.
A real highlight is the bar set up for customers to tweak bloody marys and mimosas with all sorts of syrups, bitters and garnishes. Impressive hot sauce selection too.
This would have been nice but I’m honestly pretty content with my coffee and quick cookies on this raining coolish morning. Does this mean fall is on the way? Can I take out the jumpers and jeans already?🙈
