I recently made a collaboration with
@nymetsleaks and
@newsfromtheciti and we predicted the N.L. Division Winners in 2019. In this post iβll explain why I made my predictions for the 2019 season.

Braves: The Braves have done nothing but improved this offseason and they resigned many pieces to their already bolstered offense. The Braves have a future superstar in Ronald AcuΓ±a Jr., a great middle infield in Swanson and Albies, and a solid pitcher in Foltynewicz. The Braves also added top 10 third baseman Josh Donaldson. The Braves have plenty of competition against bolstered N.L. East teams this season. The Nationals have a rising star in Soto, a top 5 rotation with Scherzer and Strausburg at the top and other key pieces such as Turner and Rendon with signing guys like Dozier and Gomes. The Phillies added the top catcher in baseball it J.T. Realmuto. The Mets added the best closer in baseball, two infield all stars, a top 5 catcher in baseball, and top prospect Peter Alonso is ready to burst onto the scene.

Brewers: I have the Brewers winning the N.L. Central because the other teams simply donβt have enough. The Cardinals added top 3 First-baseman in Paul Goldschdmit but who else? Marcell Ozuna? A washed up Yadier Molina? I donβt think they simply have enough to win the division. The Cubs are a decent sized threat but the lack of depth in the clubhouse makes me think otherwise. The Reds are an interesting team, they added great pieces in Alex Wood, Matt Kemp, and Yasiel Puig. But they lost Homer Bailey. They already have great pieces in Scooter Gennett and Raisel Iglesias. The addition of Sonny Gray can do nothing but improve the team. The Reds may have themselves a top 15 rotation this season if everything works out. The Brewers just have more star power than the other teams.

Dodgers: The Dodgers are simple. There is nobody else but the Rockies that can interfere with the Dodgers winning the division. The Dodgers lost many huge pieces this offseason in Kemp, Puig, Dozier, Grandal, Wood, and most importantly Machado. The Dodgers still have a top 5 starter in Kershaw, a top 5 reliever in Jansen, and a top tier third-baseman in Turner. The Padres added
