We were light on terrain, so boardgames made for impromptu platforms. It made for a nice, claustrophobic environment- elevation changes really stretch how far your terrain goes.
It's not Mordheim, which grates at my soul, but it is a good game that I'll likely play more of.
By request - an overview of our Frostgrave table tonight. All the scenery, including the mat, was handmade!
3 player match of Frostgrave tonight. Me and another player got caught in a long battle while the other player snuck off with all the good stuff!

That feeling when your summoning spell exceeded your expectations👹
So the tower is coming along quite well, I've just done a second coat on the brown that's why it's a bit shiny.

Head to the blog as we look back at some of the stunning artwork from that Dmitry and Kate Burmak have created for Frostgrave, from the core rulebook right up to Wizards' Conclave!
are the lovely #badsquiddogames
Step 1 : prime. Dark primer this time but not really important since I wasnt going to do allot of thin layers.
Step 2: base colours put down. This would be the midtone of what I would want things to end up as
Step 3: stark highlights. Drybrushing them mostly but some I had to pick out. Offwhite or pastel green/blue/yellow/pink depending on the overall look I want.
Step 4: washes - usually thinned out washes. Different colours for different parts so lots of waiting for things to dry inbetween.
Step 5: cleanup and picking out details. Sounds simple but can be allot of work depending on amount of details that arent well defined. These were easy, just eyes & teeth mostly. The clothes and armor were pretty lively sculpted.
Step 6: bases
Step 7: shiny bits. This time just the wizard with the fairy and spell glow.
