I always love being asked those in an interview, because it's the same for both. "Impatience and meticulousness."
I posted a while ago about using your flaws to your advantage. Being impatient and meticulous can kind of be counteractive. I will spend some days spending 5 minutes typing an email and 10 minutes reviewing it until it is 'perfect.' When my project team and I are building something/making changes, we don't push the public updates until literally EVERY last detail is fixed. Enter impatience: "We have 30 things to do and 5 days? Fuck that, lets do it in 2 and start the next thing early." -
Synergy allows these two traits to work together. If I can do something tomorrow or the day after, I will do it today... but I won't be done with it until everything is perfect. Enter, meticulousness: I finish a 3 day task in one day, but spend 2 days over-perfecting it. IT's all about finding the balance in the two. Sometimes, I definitely get too impatient, especially when it comes to fitness. When trying to diet, bulk, recomp, etc, being impatient is one of the worst things to be, because it is not an overnight, or a two week process. It is months and months of meticulously planning and adjusting your calorie intake/output like a game of chess. That is what makes it exciting. It isn't a one-day thing. It is playing the long game.

I’ve been holding back posting this one for awhile, but with Thanksgiving upon us seemed like the perfect time to pull this gem on the left out. —
At the end of November will mark a YEAR since I’ve moved to California to start my new life and not much longer than that had I begun lifting weights. —
Now for the pictures-
On the left is a confused, egotistical party kid that’s diet consisted of 50 cent wings and dollar beers. I was lost in the sauce and had no real plan or motivation for where my life was headed. I was only worried about what was going on that night, making grades on the side and had zero care for what I was doing/putting into my body. —
I’m grateful to say that kid on the left is no longer me.
I’ve grown up a lot in this past year and developed a routine that works for me. It hasn’t been a walk in the park. There’s been plenty of blood sweat and tears. I was removed from all that I knew and given an opportunity to start over in an unfamiliar place on the opposite side of the country without knowing anyone. —
I’ve been able to learn through trial and error and accepted that I truly don’t know everything nor will I ever. That’s the beauty of this sport. We commit to be better each day than we were the one before. —
This past year was a rollercoaster ride but I truly wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s brought me to a point in my life where I am actually happy with myself and allowed me to take a step back to discover my passion. It has also surrounded me with an amazing group of people that I get to grow with everyday.
However, the work never stops. Here’s to 2019!

Why have your gains stopped?! 🤬🤷🏽♂️ Progressive Overload... The increase of stress put under the body during exercise.
Example; If you squat 60kg for 3 sets of 10 one week for less than 9 RPE (Scale of difficulty out of 10) that means your body will no longer adapt to that same workload anymore, and requires an increased stimulus to elicit a further cellular response. This means something has to change out of the following 👇🏽 1. Increased repititions
2. Increased weight
3. Added intensity (lower rest periods, supersets, drop sets etc)
3. Increased TUT (time under tension) increased tempo eg: 4 second eccentric 1 second concentric.
The reason you may no longer be seeing progression could be down to you not making a note of your lifts each workout. I did this myself for a about a year before I realised. I would go into the gym week by week, pick up the same weights out of pure habit and perform the same reps, wondering why I was no longer making progress... Sound similiar?
My point is make every workout harder than the week before, challenge yourself, and don't be scared of going to failure 🔥

My Daily routine always starts off with my Herbalife tea, today was raspberry tea, mango aloe, and active fiber. Next is some quite time reading a daily devotional, and being grateful for everything I already have. Since starting Herbalife I now look forward to starting my day. I am always the first one up, showered and ready to get that workout in. Taking care of yourself first thing before anyone wakes up, makes you the priority for once. Also this prevents you from putting your workout at the bottom of the priority list. Overall the tea definitely gives me that boost of energy needed to conquer my workout!

This is one thing I would make sure I’m hitting the adequate requirement everyday. You can get fibre in through a variety of seeds, cereals, beans and vegetables. If you don’t like “VEG”, get over it and just eat them. Things could be a hell of lot worse where you are in a sitaution that takes “choice” out of the equation. You have the option to eat good quality nutrient dense foods which will make you lead a healthier lifestyle.
Don’t wait until your struck down with some sickness to start thinking about your HEALTH because 👇
