I’ve been sick this week with the flu 😩 and as I’m sure everyone knows being sick and trying to workout is definitely NOT fun 😂 I have had a few days off from the gym which is OKAY as we all need to remember that we are only human and our bodies need time to rest and reset sometimes especially when we are not 100%. I’ve slowly been getting back into training and have my @ehplabs_ausnz Beyond BCAA’s and RP Max helping me push through and give me a bit of a boost (much needed at the moment) 😂 but I’m keeping positive and if anything being sick has motivated me even more to kill it in the gym and push for my goals! We will all have little hiccups along the way but when your able to push through them, get up again and push yourself 10x harder that’s what matters most! Hope everyone’s having a good week! External Oblique . It is named after its location and fiber direction. This muscle is the main mover during spinal rotation and also plays a major role in lateral flexion. It also plays a role during respiration through abdominal compression. . Your obliques are highly active during transverse movements (rotating exercises). A golfer or polo player would want strong obliques to perform clean and successful shot. . When the obliques are lengthened and weak it increases the risk of lower back injuries and lower crossed syndrom (rounding if the lower spine). On the flip side when they are overactive and shortened it can increase the risk of kyphosis. . ➡️ To stretch and lengthen you obliques stand with your side next to a wall. Cross the leg on the far side from the wall in front of the leg on the near side. Then reach with your outer arm over your head towards the wall creating kind of a bow shape through your body. You can also do this with a TRX instead of a wall to get an even better stretch! . ➡️ To strengthen your obliques try the following exercises: . ✔️Wood-Chop Crunch ✔️Side Plank ✔️Spider-Man Press-up

Haven’t posted anything for a month... most of you already know I’ve quit my labor job to go full time at what I love doing : To chase my dreams day by day and live my purpose. I realized the value of my time and effort did not match the value of my hourly wage I was making. I'm fully aware It's a very risky move but I believe so strongly in this vision I have that I feel the opportunity of reward far out weights the risk. - Fear of failure is failure in itself - lately these past few weeks I felt like I’ve hit a rock bottom...was going through depressions and at the point of just giving everything up, I was questioning all my decisions, second guessing my ideas, letting doubt dictate my goals...one of the worst situations anyone could be in. After stepping back and refocusing myself I was reminded that’s not who I am, I’m not a quitter. Going through all of it did strengthen me up to become a better person. I always remind myself why I started this. I started this to make an impact and add values in other peoples lives, by becoming an example for those believers and dream chasers.
