Pregnancy is a blessing from Allah but it can be an emotional rollercoaster, from weird cravings to outbursts when your hubby buys the wrong brand of cake (speaking from experience😂). Keeping a journal during this whirlwind is advised by experts for many reasons. .
1) It can help reduce stress.
Emotions and fears run wild during pregnancy but by writing down your anxieties, it becomes your outlet for your emotions and allows you to mange your stress better. Writing down your thoughts also allows you to organise your thoughts and articulate your emotions so at least you know what your feeling , even though poor hubby won't.😜 .
2) Journaling allows you to celebrate your happy moments.
Writing down how you felt when you first found out that Allah had blessed you, when you found out the gender or the first time you felt movement; these memories are priceless. These fleeting observations are moments you don't want to forget.
Other things you could journal about are -how you told your hubby
-best family or friend reactions -your changing body -your pre-mum life (which will quickly become a vague memory)
-Duas you want to make regularly.
Lastly remember this is a time to increase your ibadah and your gratefullness to Allah.
