Week 1 of the @f45_training_sunbury 8 week challenge is done ✔ today is the start of week 2 but let's recap on the week that was. Last Sunday I picked up all our groceries for week 1 of the challenge, which I did 90% online at woolies then the rest was from a fishmonger & health food stores. The shopping list was so easy to follow. Once home with all the shopping I did begin to feel a little overwhelmed as I began to weigh out our food and cook it exactly as the meal plan recommends, but I kept at it and after a few hours I had majority of the snacks prepped and the next few days worth of lunches done. (then I enjoyed my last supper of fish n chips 🤤) Meal plan- I can proudly say we stuck to the meal plan 110%, although there were a few 'dry reach' 😷 moments trying to get the snapper & tuna steaks down - we did it (just). The biggest challenge for me was Saturday night! We had a quiet weekend which isn't unusual but normally we would cook something yum or order take away so I really struggled feeling satisfied with my lettuce burgers & green tea 😂 but once Sunday arrived I was feeling pretty proud of my efforts and willpower. Training - I went 6 times in the first week, although I really don't think I pushed myself as hard as I could of the first half, I've been struggling a bit with asthma so I'm trying to navigate my way through that at the same time as starting from scratch with my fitness, but the second half of the week I did notice a slight improvement in my mentality which got me pushing myself a little harder❣ Overall - They say the first two weeks is definitely the hardest as we are detoxing our bodies. My skin has had breakouts and I've got myself a nasty cold so I'm feeling pretty miserable at the moment but I am feeling less bloated and frumpy. I was pretty shocked at my scan results, I was in a worse position than I thought weighing 76.9kg & 31.2% body fat (whoops) but shit happens, I am so motivated to improve. I've had some headaches and muscle soreness within the first week whilst my body was adjusting to no caffeine, sugar, alcohol and intense exercise. Magnesium is a God send 🙏 Very keen to get over this cold and smash out week 2 💪
The biggest step when it comes to recovery is by doing your part out of the office. Do your exercises, watch your posture and eat right.
Meal Prep is done for the week! . I decided to mix it up a little bit and try protein blends from @birdseyevegetables. I got the Thai, Hawaiian and Southwestern. They smell great and I can’t wait to try them. I decided to combine this with 2 pieces of chicken and a tiny bit of rice for more protein and carbs. I’m trying to gain muscle and I know I need to fuel my body with nutritious food. . If anyone had tips on building muscle, please comment below.
