Trying to rekindle my love affair with squats lately! So on Fridays leg day I tried all the squat variations! Definitely going to be working on my front and overhead squats to challenge myself more and get that core engaged! I’m a little hard on myself sometimes and had been feeling like my form wasn’t great, so kept stripping the weight back to work on depth. After filming my last few sets though they are actually looking much better than I give myself credit for so time to get pushing that weight back up 💪🏽 I’ve been Enjoying getting back to a lot of strength work this last few weeks so I’m excited to see my strength building back up! And surely come December all that Christmas food will help right?! 💁🏽‍♀️😂

⚜️ This time of year people start to realise that there's only 6 weeks left to reach the goals they set for themselves in January 2018.. . ⚜️ Did you know that 94% of people who set goals QUIT in the first two weeks? They literally just stop. Why do you think that is? . ⚜️ Maybe their 'why' isn't clear enough, they don't believe they can do it, they have old limiting beliefs that stop them subconsciously, they give up on themselves, they don't have a plan, they need support and don't know who to ask, they give in when others make fun of them, 'you really gonna do it this time?', and so on.. Heaps of us even write goals down year after year already KNOWING we aren't going to follow through on them 😮 . ⚜️ It's a really uncomfortable feeling when you realise you've let yourself down.. again. And that in itself sets the tone for further disappointment and shame. I know because I did it to myself many times over the years. . ⚜️ If you're sick of setting goals over and over and not reaching them, and you're done with letting yourself down, and you're ready to stop the shit and take responsibility for the results you're getting, hire a coach ffs! I don't care if it's not me, there's so many fantastic coaches out there, find one you like and invest in yourself! . ⚜️ Now is the perfect time to do it because you can get traction before the New Year. NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD, AS TRUE HEALTH FEELS 🌱❤️🍌 2 of the more common questions I receive: "How do you keep your lifestyle up?" "Don't you ever miss meat?" My active, fit lifestyle (training 2 hours a day, 6 days a week, running around 50 miles and lifting heavy) is a BI-PRODUCT of the health I consume. I switched to a plant based diet because I was interested in health, but BROKE 😂 I'd left the world of desks, finance and real estate, so how could I stay healthy whilst saving money? And I began to feel so amazing, filling myself with plants, spending more time in nature and less time sitting at a desk, watching more inspiring content rather than shit TV... that I began to move more naturally and feel epic. I basically spontaneously started running/lifting because my 'diet' made me feel so good. Just one small change in what you consume/do on the daily can be a catalyst for MASSIVE change. Why would I miss meat when bananas, nuts & peanuts, big bowls of rice/stir fry/pasta/sweet potatoes, smoothies w/ protein powder and greens TASTE BETTER than meat, make me feel incredible and support an awesome lifestyle. 🌱 If I really missed It that much, I'd just eat the vegan version (say for instance, southern fried tofu or a veggie hot dog) and even though that is still healthier than the meat version, it still isn't health promoting. So why would I go even worse than that and eat the meat version? And Sure, someone could sit next to me on the tube with a steak burrito or a bag of KFC and I can see where the appeal is. I bet it tastes good, I get it (mainly because of the plant foods/spices added to the meat 😂) but is it worth me feeling crap? Is there any point in it? Do I NEED it? Is it even that good or are we just over rating it based on the fact it's advertised in front of us or our friends also like it? Maybe even do we consume it because we are a 'weird vegan' if we don't? Is it Worth an environmental footprint? Worth killing an animal? Nope. I'm not just 'fine' with my fruits, veggies, nuts seeds and grains, I'm AWESOME.

This weekend I have been a bit naughty and a bit off plan. I woke up determined to improve my eating and mindset.
