Protein - warum die Aufnahme von genügend Protein für den Körper wichtig ist. Wer hier auf Insta unterwegs ist, stolpert unweigerlich über den ein oder anderen Fitness- und Foodblogger, der entweder Shakes trinkt oder seine Rezepte mit Proteinpulvern aufwertet. Warum Eiweiß wichtig für den Körper ist, sollte aber immer wieder aufs neue gepredigt werden, damit auch die Neulinge direkt den richtigen Input bekommen. Es gibt sowohl pflanzliche, als auch tierische Eiweiße. Beispiele für tierische Eiweißquellen sind Fleisch, Eier aber auch Milch und die zahlreichen Folgeprodukte wie Käse, Joghurt oder Quark. Zu den pflanzlichen Eiweißquellen gehören z.B. Hülsenfrüchte wie Sojabohnen, Bohnen allgemein (ich liebe z.B. Kidneybohnen), Linsen, Erbsen und Erdnüsse. Wieso ist Eiweiß denn jetzt wichtig? Eiweiß (Protein) besteht aus essenziellen Aminosäuren, die für den Erhalt und den Aufbau von Muskeln eine wichtige Rolle spielen. Sie sind daher wichtig, weil unsere Muskulatur zu großen Teilen selber aus Proteinen besteht und daher mit selbigen versorgt werden muss. Empfohlen werden grundsätzliche eine Aufnahme von 1,8g (ohne zusätzliches Training) bzw. ca. 2,2,g (mit Training) pro kg Körpergewicht. Zu unterscheiden ist zwischen Whey und Casein, wobei das Whey schnell verfügbar ist und dementsprechend gerne nach den Sport als Shake supplementiert wird, währen Casein länger verfügbar ist und dementsprechend nicht ganz so schnell verfügbar ist. Ich versuche generell, mein Eiweiß über die Nahrung aufzunehmen, indem ich viel Magerquark, Fleisch usw zu mir nehme. This, my friends, is why for the first time in human history, there are more overweight people walking the earth than underweight. Why might this be? Well for one, our planted landmass in the United States is largely taken up by wheat, corn and soy production. We eat much of these subsidized crops, but also a lot of it is refined into oils and sugar that is then fed to cows (which also get a hefty subsidy.)

5% of the planted landmass in the United States is dedicated to growing vegetables, which is perhaps one reason why they're relatively so expensive! 90% of Americans do not consume enough of them, according to the CDC, and may explain why the same proportion is deficient in at least one vitamin or mineral.

Peanut butter flavour topped with Nutella, fruit and some @myproteinuk maple syrup 😍🍓 • • • The recipe I used is the ‘3 Ingredient PB2 Pancakes’ from @fitfoodiefinds and it’s honestly amazing!! All you need is eggs, banana and powdered peanut butter - the only thing I did differently was add about 1/2 tsp baking powder!! They came out sooo light and fluffy and tasted absolutely delish. Deffo give it a go!!!

Pasta with zucchine and tomatoes 😋 . INGREDIENTS - 7 oz short whole wheat pasta like penne, fusilli or farfalle - 2 lbs zucchini, chopped in bite size pieces - 1 lb grape or cherry tomatoes, cut in halves - 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil - 6 garlic cloves, minced - 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated - 1 cup parsley or 1/2 cup basil, finely chopped - 1 tsp salt - Ground black pepper, to taste . INSTRUCTIONS 1. Cook pasta as per package instructions undercooking by 2-3 minutes or until pasta is al dente, cooked but firm. 2. While pasta is cooking, preheat large ceramic non-stick skillet on medium-high heat and swirl 1 tbsp of oil to coat. Add zucchini and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer to a bowl and set aside. 3. Return skillet to the stove and swirl 1 tbsp of oil to coat, add tomatoes and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring a few times. 4. Turn off heat and add cooked pasta and zucchini, remaining 1 tbsp of oil, salt, pepper, cheese and parsley or basil; stir and serve. Tasty and satisfying brunch option. This took less than 10 minutes to cook. Only 296 calories and 21g of protein. 😍👌 ■I cut 170g of potatoes into cubes, rinsed them in cold water and put them in the microwave for 5 minutes to soften. My thoughts about the popular pics with 'his & hers' foods, which suggest that her plate should have almost half of the portions, lower carbs, lower fats and so on for the womens and much more for mens. . . .  This , of course, depends on each individual, and sometimes the gendre cannot make a difference between food needs. So yeah, some womens have same caloric intake based on their higher body mass,level of physical activity, age etc as their mens , which is ok! Having an appetite also is ok! . .
