“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth.” -Henry David Thoreau

I remember how difficult it was to climb that first mountain. We stopped for a break before the first marker at 1/10 of a mile. My legs shook as we reached the summit. Then I think of every mountain I’ve climbed since, each less difficult than the last. I can explore and enjoy the world now. Every time I summit I feel like superwoman. There’s nothing in the world I can’t do. It’s so quiet and peaceful, as if everything in the world has stopped moving for a moment. I’m incredibly thankful for this journey. The lessons, the love, the peace, the clarity, the growth, and the changes, all necessary pieces of my puzzle.
